Overview
The Yawei HLA-2560 is the largest HLA single-table laser in the low-power group: a 6,100 x 2,545 mm (240.2 x 100.2 in) cutting range with 3 or 6 kW. Above it, the HLA-2580 starts at 12 kW.
At this size the Z stroke increases to 170 mm (6.7 in), from 120 mm (4.7 in) on the HLA-2040, and trajectory speed remains 140 m/min. The worktable is rated 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).
Six metres of open table changes how the machine is used. Sheet can be laid at one end and cut while finished parts are cleared from the other, which recovers some of the time a single table loses. Long parts can be loaded by overhead crane without an enclosure in the way. Yawei's description of an open cutting area that makes loading and unloading easier is most relevant here.
The layout is 8,800 x 5,400 x 2,000 mm (346.5 x 212.6 x 78.7 in), a little over half the length of the enclosed HLB-2560. X stroke is 6,120 mm (240.9 in) and Y stroke 2,565 mm (101.0 in). The beam is aluminium alloy on a welded bed with dual drive. With 6 kW as the ceiling this is a sheet machine; anyone expecting to cut plate on a six-metre table should look at the HLE-2560 or the high-power HLA-2580.
