Accurl Smart ECO SE-15030

The Accurl Smart ECO SE-15030 offers 15,000 mm (590.6 in) of work area length on the line's fixed 3,000 mm (118.1 in) width. It is the third of the four standard Smart ECO models, and its thickness table begins at 6 kW.

Length on a machine like this is bought for flow. With fifteen metres of bed, plates can be set down in a row and the gantry simply moves on to the next when one is finished, leaving the finished plate to be cleared by crane. The table rating of 750 kg/m² applies along the whole bed.

How should the accuracy figure be read here? Accurl gives X/Y axis positioning accuracy as ±0.05 mm/m. Taken literally, a per-metre figure allows more deviation on a part that spans much of a 15,000 mm bed than on a small one, so for long parts with tight overall lengths it is reasonable to ask the maker what is guaranteed end to end.

The drive train is conventional and sturdy: linear guides, helical toothed racks driven on both sides, a rack on Z, a steel crossbeam with an intelligent lubrication system. Maximum linkage speed is 80 m/min and acceleration 0.8g. The page names the control as the Backoff Control CNC System.

Power options go up to 60 kW for the series. In brass the table shows 15 mm (0.59 in) at 6 kW, 20 mm (0.79 in) at 12 kW and 25 mm (0.98 in) at 30 kW; in copper 10 mm (0.39 in) at 6 kW and 15 mm (0.59 in) from 12 kW.
