How much does the Yasda H40i-100 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Yasda H40i-100 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Yasda H40i-100 is the large model of the H Series, a horizontal 5-axis line that Yasda describes as established for high-speed simultaneous 5-axis and high-efficiency machining. This version handles workpieces up to 1,000 mm in diameter. Unlike the H40i-80, it gets there with a bigger machine: travels are 1,075 mm (42.3 in) in X, 940 mm (37.0 in) in Y and 735 mm (28.9 in) in Z, and the table working size is 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in).
Yasda points to large cylindrical components for aerospace industries as the demand behind it. Casings, rings and drums of that kind are wide but often not heavy, and they need many tools and long cycles. The specification fits: 240 tools in the ATC as the base figure.
Six pallets are standard. That is fewer than the 9 pallets of the H40i-80, as one would expect when each pallet has to be stored with a part a metre across on it. For a shop deciding between the two, the question is part diameter first and pallet count second.
One figure does not grow. The spindle is the same 200-20,000 min-1 MAS BT40 unit used across the series. On large aerospace parts in aluminium that is the right spindle. In titanium or nickel alloys a 40-taper spindle limits the depth of cut, and a buyer with that kind of work should compare the BT50 trunnion machines in the YBM range. The control is a FANUC 31i-B5 Plus, and the stated machine height is 3,117 mm (122.7 in), the same as the smaller models.
