Overview

The Vision Wide BM-10030 / 10037 is a ten-metre machine in four linear axes. X travel is 10,100 mm (397.6 in), Y travel 3,000 mm or 3,700 mm, and both Z and the W-axis cross rail start at 1,000 mm. The table is 10,000×2,450 mm (393.7×96.5 in) and carries 26,000 kg (57,319 lb).

Compare it with the NF-10026, a fixed-rail machine with the same table and the same load. The NF-10026 has 920 mm of Z on its standard head. The BM adds the W axis on top of its Z, and with the options, 1,400 mm of Z and 1,500 mm of W, the tool can work over a much greater height. Vision Wide puts the maximum workpiece height for the BM at 2,450mm.

The cost is time in the vertical direction. W rapids at 2 m/min, so raising the rail fully is a slow move, done once per setup or per operation and not between cuts. X rapid is 8 m/min, Y 10 m/min and Z 12 m/min.

The ball screws on X and Y are supported as standard at these lengths. Spindle power is 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp), the standard spindle a 4,000 rpm 2-step gear type, and chips leave by table-side screw conveyors and a steel belt conveyor.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How does the Vision Wide BM-10030 differ from the NF-10026?

Both have a 10,000×2,450 mm (393.7×96.5 in) table for 26,000 kg (57,319 lb). The BM-10030 has a movable cross rail with a W axis of 1,000 mm or more in addition to Z; the NF-10026 has a fixed rail.

02 How fast is the BM-10030 / 10037?

Rapid traverse is 8 / 10 / 12 / 2 m/min for X, Y, Z and W. Cutting feed is 1-7,000 mm/min for X, Y and Z and 1,000 mm/min for W.

03 What vertical travel does the BM-10030 have?

Z: 1,000 mm standard, 1,200 mm or 1,400 mm optional. W: 1,000 mm standard, 1,200 mm or 1,500 mm optional. The maker gives a maximum workpiece height of 2,450mm for the series.

04 What is the Y travel of each model of the BM-10030 / 10037?

3,000 mm on the BM-10030 and 3,700 mm on the second model of the pair, printed as 3,000/ 3,700 mm (118.1/ 145.7 in). The longer travel goes with the AH five-face attachment.
