Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide MSE-1612 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide MSE-1612 is a high-speed portal milling machine: 15,000 rpm, cutting feed to 24,000 mm/min, and no tool magazine anywhere in its specification. Travels are 1,600 mm (63.0 in) in X and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in Y over a 1,800x1,100 mm (70.9x43.3 in) table.
It is the milling machine counterpart of the SE-1612. The two tables agree on travels, table, the 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) load, spindle power and speed, feeds and rapids. Where the SE-1612 table ends with a tool magazine row of 24 pcs, the MSE table has no such row, and neither MSE accessory list names a magazine.
A fast spindle without a changer sounds like a contradiction until the work is considered. Finishing a mold cavity is often one ball mill running for hours. Skimming aluminum plate to thickness is one face mill. The operator loads the tool, measures it, and the machine runs. For a shop that does this kind of work on large parts, the magazine is the part of a machining center it uses least.
The standard spindle is a direct driven 15,000 rpm unit with a BBT-40 taper and 15/ 18.5 kW (20.1/ 24.8 hp). XYZ axis linear scale feedback is standard. Rapid traverse is 24 m/min, or 30 m/min as an option.
