Overview

The Vision Wide MN-3023 / MN-3030 is the smallest of the MN bridge-type milling machines, which the maker describes as designed with a 5-face function of multi-angle cutting and an X-Y roller ways structure. One column of the table covers both models: the MN-3023 has 2,300 mm (90.6 in) of Y travel and the MN-3030 has 3,000 mm (118.1 in).

Its figures are those of the NF-3023 / NF-3030 machining center. X travel is 3,100 mm (122.0 in), the table is 3,000×2,050 mm (118.1×80.7 in) for 13,000 kg (28,660 lb), and X/Y rapid is 24 m/min. What Vision Wide writes about the two is different. The NF text speaks of linear guideways and automatic head change. The MN text speaks of roller ways on X and Y, a solid beam of large cross-section and a wide base with three roller sliding ways.

The MN specification table also omits the tool changer rows that the NF table carries, though a vertical type tool magazine with 32 tools is on the MN standard accessory list.

The working end is the same heavy one. A box way 4,000rpm 2-step gear type spindle is standard, with 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp); the 22/26 kW and 30/37 kW motors are options. Cutting feed is 1-10,000 mm/min.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How does the Vision Wide MN-3023 differ from the NF-3023?

Travels, table, load, spindle rows and rapids are the same in the two tables. The MN-3023 is described with X-Y roller ways and a three-way base, and its table has no tool changer rows; the NF-3023 table lists three changer types.

02 What is the difference between the MN-3023 and the MN-3030?

Y travel. The shared column prints 2,300/ 3,000 mm (90.6/ 118.1 in), the first figure for the MN-3023 and the second for the MN-3030.

03 What spindle does the MN-3023 / MN-3030 have?

A box way 4,000rpm 2-step gear type spindle as standard, with 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp). Options are a 6,000 rpm gear spindle, linear way or enclosed box ram heads, and motors of 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) or 30/37 kW (40.2/49.6 hp).

04 How fast is the MN-3023?

X/Y rapid is 24 m/min. Z rapid is 15 m/min on the box way or linear way head and 12 m/min on the enclosed box ram. Cutting feed is 1-10,000 mm/min.
