Overview
Each column of the Vision Wide MHN-8035 / MHN-8042 is a single casting. Vision Wide describes a one-piece casting column structure with a thick section that links the rigidity of the beam and the base and enhances YZ-axis machining rigidity.
The columns are the path by which every cutting force returns to the foundation. In a bridge machine the beam is stiff and the bed is stiff, and the weak point, if there is one, is the joint between them. A column built up from sections has bolted faces in that path; a one-piece column does not.
