The Takamaz XTL-8 is a long-bed variant of Takamaz's proven XT series, extending Z-axis travel to 600 mm for production turning of longer workpieces that exceed the capability of the standard XT-8. The 8-inch chuck platform with a maximum spindle speed of 4,000 RPM (5,000 or 3,000 RPM optional) gives the machine enough envelope and speed to handle a wide variety of shaft-type components, automotive driveline parts, and hydraulic cylinders that demand both length and precision.

The spindle delivers 15/11 kW of power through a bearing bore of 100 mm (120 mm optional), providing balanced rigidity and speed for production-rate material removal on steel, cast iron, and aluminum.
