How much does the SYIL X11 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the SYIL X11 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
One metre of X travel is what the SYIL X11 adds to the range. The largest vertical machining center SYIL lists, it moves 1,000 mm (39.4 in) in X and 500 mm (19.7 in) in Y and Z over a 1,050 × 550 mm (41.3 × 21.7 in) table that carries 600 kg (1,323 lb).
That envelope is aimed at long parts: rails, plates, manifolds and multi-vise production setups that are too long for the SYIL X9 and its 760 mm (29.9 in) of X travel. The column stands 650 mm (25.6 in) from the spindle centre, and the spindle nose can be positioned from 110 to 610 mm above the table, so a 255 mm rotary table with tailstock, which SYIL offers as an option, fits along the X axis with room left for the part.
The spindle is BT40. SYIL's specification lists its speed as 12,000 rpm/10,000 rpm and the drive as Direct/Belt, with a motor output of 11/17 kW (14.8/22.8 hp) (rate/max). Which of the two versions a given machine has is something to settle in the quotation. Through-spindle coolant at 20 bar is optional.
The arm-type magazine holds 24 tools and changes them in 2.5 s tool to tool. Tools may be 300 mm (11.8 in) long and weigh 7 kg (15 lb). Feed figures are 30,000 mm/min (1,181 ipm) in rapid and 10,000 mm/min (394 ipm) in cut, and the coolant tank holds 240 L (63.4 gal).
At 7,000 kg (15,432 lb) this is a machine that needs a proper foundation check and a forklift or crane plan. It measures 2,600 × 2,150 × 2,500 mm (102.4 × 84.6 × 98.4 in) with coolant tank and controller. The frame is a Schneeberger mineral casting, the ball screws and guides are THK, and the control is the Siemens SINUMERIK 828D.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of X travel over a 1,050 × 550 mm (41.3 × 21.7 in) table
- Table load of 600 kg (1,323 lb), the highest in SYIL's X series
- BT40 spindle with motor output of 11/17 kW (14.8/22.8 hp) (rate/max)
- Tools up to 300 mm (11.8 in) long, where the SYIL X9 stops at 240 mm (9.4 in)
- 240 L (63.4 gal) coolant tank for long unattended cuts
- Siemens SINUMERIK 828D as standard
Limitations
- Y travel stays at 500 mm (19.7 in), so the 550 mm table depth is not fully covered
- Tool change takes 2.5 s tool to tool, the slowest in the X series
- Machine weight of 7,000 kg (15,432 lb) calls for foundation and rigging planning
- Spindle is listed as 12,000 rpm/10,000 rpm with Direct/Belt drive, so the version must be fixed in the order
- Through-spindle coolant, probe, tool setter and 4th axis are options

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Travels are 1,000 mm (39.4 in) in X, 500 mm (19.7 in) in Y and 500 mm (19.7 in) in Z. The table is 1,050 × 550 mm (41.3 × 21.7 in) with five T-slots and a 600 kg (1,323 lb) load rating. Spindle nose to table top is adjustable from 110 to 610 mm.
02
A BT40 spindle. SYIL lists the speed as 12,000 rpm/10,000 rpm and the transmission as Direct/Belt, with a spindle motor output of 11/17 kW (14.8/22.8 hp) (rate/max). Coolant through the spindle at 20 bar appears on the options list. Confirm the speed and drive version when ordering.
03
The arm-type changer stores 24 BT40 tools. Maximum tool length is 300 mm (11.8 in) and maximum tool weight is 7 kg (15 lb), with a tool-to-tool time of 2.5 s. SYIL's page prints two different maximum tool diameters for this model, so check that figure with the supplier if you run large face mills.
04
It comes down to X travel and weight. The SYIL X9 has 760 mm (29.9 in) of X travel and a 500 kg (1,102 lb) table load; the X11 has 1,000 mm (39.4 in) and 600 kg (1,323 lb). Y and Z travel, the BT40 taper, the 24-tool magazine and the feed rates are common to both, so the larger machine only pays off when parts or fixture rows are longer than the SYIL X9 can reach.

Space for 2,600 × 2,150 × 2,500 mm (102.4 × 84.6 × 98.4 in) including coolant tank and controller, a floor that takes 7,000 kg (15,432 lb), an AC380V three-phase supply and compressed air between 0.4 and 0.8 MPa.
