Price estimate
We do not have a price for the SW BA 341 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The SW BA 341 is a four-spindle machine built for speed, not force. Its four HSK-E50 spindles are 150 mm (5.9 in) apart and run through a range of 1-40,000 rpm, the highest speed in the BA 3 series, with 13 kW and 8 Nm each.
Those figures define the work. 8 Nm will not drive a large drill or a face mill in steel. It will drive small end mills and engraving-size cutters at the surface speeds that light alloys and fine features need. HSK-E is the symmetric form of the interface meant for high speed, which fits the rating.
Each spindle has 150 mm (5.9 in) of X, 500 mm (19.7 in) of Y and 375 mm (14.8 in) of Z. Four narrow work spaces in a row mean four small parts per cycle, or four stations on one long fixture. The model has a single work table, and with it the larger of the two BA 3 interference circles: Ø 575 x 830 mm.
How does it sit beside its two-table sibling? The BA 342 has the same pitch but HSK-A40 spindles with 18 kW and 17 Nm at half the top speed, plus a second table. The BA 341 is the choice when tool diameter is tiny and spindle speed sets the feed rate.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Four spindles with a speed range of 1-40,000 rpm, the fastest in SW's BA 3 table
- Four parts per cycle at a 150 mm (5.9 in) spindle distance
- 500 mm (19.7 in) of Y travel and a Ø 575 x 830 mm interference circle
- HSK-E50 interface on all four spindles
Limitations
- Only 8 Nm and 13 kW per spindle
- 150 mm (5.9 in) of X per spindle limits part width
- Single work table: no loading while the spindles cut
- HSK-E50 tooling is not shared with the HSK-A63 models of the series

Frequently Asked Questions
01
SW's table gives a speed range of 1-40,000 rpm. Each of the four spindles is rated 13 kW and 8 Nm and takes HSK-E50 tooling. It is the only BA 3 model with this spindle.
02
Spindle and tables. The BA 341 has HSK-E50 spindles at up to 40,000 rpm with 13 kW and 8 Nm, one work table and 500 mm (19.7 in) of Y. The BA 342 has HSK-A40 spindles at up to 20,000 rpm with 18 kW and 17 Nm, two work tables and 450 mm (17.7 in) of Y.
03
Each spindle covers 150 mm (5.9 in) of X, 500 mm (19.7 in) of Y and 375 mm (14.8 in) of Z, and the spindles are 150 mm apart. A part wider than that pitch blocks its neighbour. The 4th axis clears Ø 575 x 830 mm.
04
The figures point elsewhere. With 8 Nm per spindle and a 40,000 rpm range, the machine is set up for small tools at high speed. SW's portfolio covers steel and cast iron, but within the BA 3 series the 72 Nm spindles of the BA 321 or BA 322 are the ones sized for heavier cuts.
