How much does the STV CNC STVR10 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the STV CNC STVR10 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The STV CNC STVR10 is the largest of the modular STVR router tables, with a 5 ft W x 10 ft L cutting envelope: 60 in of X travel, 120 in of Y and 5.75 in of Z. It takes 5 x 10 sheet whole. Like the smaller modular sizes it is delivered as a frame to assemble, and it carries a 2.2 kW (3 HP), 24,000 rpm air-cooled spindle.
Assembly is the owner's job. STV CNC ships the laser cut frame as a modular kit, with leg braces below and slotted cross braces on top to take the wasteboard. Once it is built, the gantry and the spindle carriage ride hardened and ground linear rails on every axis, with rack and pinion on X and Y and a ball lead screw on Z. The four motors are direct drive at 1:1. Listed figures are 600 in/min for default maximum travel speed, plus or minus 0.005 in per 12 in for motion accuracy and 0.0005 in for step resolution. A buyer who wants the 3:1 gear reduction adds it as an upgrade, or looks at the welded STVR10 PRO, where it is standard.
Y travel of 120 in covers long work such as countertops, shelving runs and full-length sign panels, and a 4 x 8 sheet leaves room down one side for clamps or offcuts. The cost is floor space: the bay has to be longer than the sheet, with room to slide a 5 x 10 board on from the side or the end. The spindle is the 2.2 kW (3 HP) unit fitted to the smallest table, so the larger bed buys capacity per load and not heavier cuts.
The table is specified for a 110 V AC, 15 A circuit. Its 2.2 kW (3 HP) air-cooled spindle reaches 24,000 rpm through a variable frequency drive, and ER20 collets for 1/4 in and 1/2 in tools are supplied. Programs run in Optimum CNC on the included Linux mini PC, which reads TAP, NC and the other listed G-code file types and talks to the control box over Ethernet. STV CNC is clear that the mini PC is for running the table and not for drawing: design files are made on another computer and carried over. A display, keyboard, mouse, wasteboard and dust hose are left to the buyer.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2.2 kW (3 HP) air-cooled spindle, 24,000 rpm, with ER20 collets for 1/4 in and 1/2 in tools included
- Hardened and ground linear guide rails on all three axes, with rack and pinion on X and Y
- Optimum CNC control on an included Linux mini PC, connected by Ethernet
- 60 in x 120 in of travel for whole 5 x 10 sheets
Limitations
- Direct drive at a 1:1 ratio; the 3:1 gear reduction system is an upgrade
- Wasteboard, dust extractor hose, monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included
- The spindle is no larger than on the 4 ft table, so the bigger bed does not bring heavier cuts

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Up to 5 x 10. X travel is 60 in and Y travel is 120 in, so a 5 x 10 sheet fits whole and a 4 x 8 sheet leaves room beside it. Maximum Z travel is 5.75 in.
02
Yes, as an upgrade. The base table drives its 4 motors directly at a 1:1 ratio, and STV CNC offers a gear reduction system that raises this to 3:1. The listed motion accuracy of plus or minus 0.005 in per 12 in and the 600 in/min default maximum travel speed are the figures given for the table as sold.
03
No. STV CNC fits an air-cooled 2.2 kW (3 HP), 24,000 rpm spindle with ER20 collets to every size. The larger bed increases how much material is cut per load, not the depth or width of cut the spindle will take.
04
Yes. The base model has a laser cut modular frame that STV CNC marks as assembly required, with lower leg braces and upper cross braces for the wasteboard. The welded STVR10 PRO is the version of this size that ships fully assembled.
