Overview
The ShopSabre IS EVA 510 is the top of ShopSabre's EVA foam line, a 5x10 Industrial Series router with a 75 x 125 x 12 in (1,905 x 3,175 x 305 mm) cut area and a tangential oscillating knife. ShopSabre builds it for marine decking producers who cut EVA foam and SeaDek material all day.
It combines the two things the smaller EVA machines offer separately. The PRO EVA 510 has the long table but lists 1,200 ipm rapids. The IS EVA 408 has the 2,100 ipm drive train but stops at a 100 in cutting length. This model has both the table and the speed, 2,100 ipm (53.3 m/min), on ball screws with no rack-and-pinion axis.
A decking kit for one boat is dozens of pads of different shapes. Nesting them on a wide table wastes less foam than splitting the kit over several small sheets, and 75 in of width gives the nesting software room to turn and interleave long pieces. ShopSabre also lists a digital measuring system for measuring, tracing and templating boat interiors as an option, which closes the loop from boat to cut file.
