How much does the Salvagnini L3-6020 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Salvagnini L3-6020 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Six metres of bed is what sets the Salvagnini L3-6020 apart: its XY working range is 6,096 x 2,032 mm (240.0 x 80.0 in), against 4,064 x 2,032 mm on the L3-4020. Everything else in the table is shared with the shorter machine, including the 100 mm (3.9 in) Z axis stroke, the 156 m/min maximum XY speed and the list of six fiber sources.
The long bed pays in two ways. Long parts such as panels, rails and enclosure sides can be cut from one sheet without a join, and several shorter sheets can be worked in one loading. Salvagnini's SVS vision application photographs a leftover on the worktable and turns it into a dxf for a new nest, which suits a table with this much room for offcuts.
The structure matters more as the axis gets longer. Salvagnini uses a patented load-bearing beam with a lightweight "airplane" manipulator and cites rigidity, positioning precision and access to the whole worktable as its advantages. Position accuracy Pa is 0.08 and the average position range Ps is 0.03, measured to VDI3441 on maximum axis lengths; the table prints no unit for either row.
Thickness capacity is set by the source and not by the bed. With 6000 W the limits are 25 mm (0.98 in) in steel and 20 mm (0.79 in) in stainless steel and aluminum; 10000 W raises stainless and aluminum to 30 mm (1.18 in). A sheet this size is heavy to load by hand, so look at the automation list early. The minimum level is the CPE pallet changer, and the LTWS store-towers load and unload unmanned with cycle times up to 50 seconds.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- XY working range of 6,096 x 2,032 mm (240.0 x 80.0 in) for long parts or several sheets per loading
- Maximum XY speed of 156 m/min, the same as the shorter L3-4020
- Patented load-bearing beam structure with a lightweight airplane manipulator gives access to the whole worktable
- SVS vision application turns a leftover on the worktable into a dxf for a new nest
- Sources from 3000 W to 10000 W, with stainless steel and aluminum to 30 mm (1.18 in) at the top
Limitations
- Accuracy is stated on maximum axis lengths as 0.08 Pa and 0.03 Ps, with no unit printed
- Maximum absorbed power reaches 42 kW with the 10000 W source
- Steel stays at 20 mm (0.79 in) with the 3000 W and 4000 W sources
- Z axis stroke of 100 mm (3.9 in) rules out formed parts and tube

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Only in bed length. The L3-6020 has an XY working range of 6,096 x 2,032 mm (240.0 x 80.0 in); the L3-4020 has 4,064 x 2,032 mm. Z axis stroke, maximum XY speed, accuracy rows, fiber sources, thickness limits and absorbed power are identical in Salvagnini's table.
02
Position accuracy Pa is 0.08 and average position range Ps is 0.03. Both are calculated according to VDI3441 on maximum axis lengths. The table prints no unit for these two rows, so confirm the unit with Salvagnini before writing the figures into an acceptance test.
03
The minimum level is the CPE electrical pallet changer. Above that Salvagnini lists the ADB connection, the ADLU and ADLL loading and unloading devices, the LTWS and LTWS Compact store-towers with cycle times up to 50 seconds, the MV tray-store, and the TN manual and MCU automatic sorting devices.
04
Aluminum is listed at 10 mm (0.39 in) with 3000 W, 15 mm (0.59 in) with 4000 W, 20 mm (0.79 in) with 6000 W, 25 mm (0.98 in) with 8000 WE and 8000 W, and 30 mm (1.18 in) with 10000 W. Minimum thickness is 0.5 mm (0.02 in).
