How much does the Durma HD-FN 6020 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Durma HD-FN 6020 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Six-metre plate is the job of the Durma HD-FN 6020, the longest bed in the HD-FN fiber laser range. Maximum sheet size is 6,096 x 2,032 mm (240.0 x 80.0 in). The X axis travels 6,100 mm (240.2 in) and the Y axis 2,070 mm (81.5 in).
A bed this long is bought for one of two reasons. Either the parts themselves are long, such as chassis rails, trailer sides and structural plates, or the shop wants to load a full-length plate and nest across it without cutting it down first. Both put a lot of weight on the table. Durma rates a single table at 240 kg/m² with laser sources up to 12 kW and at 400 kg/m² with 15-20 kW sources, so the heavier rating comes with the higher power.
Power runs up to 20 kW in this series. At that level the brochure's capacity table gives 40 (50) mm for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium alike; brackets mark thicknesses that can be cut with minimal burr formation. At 6 kW the same table shows 25 mm mild steel, 15 (20) mm stainless steel and 20 (25) mm aluminium. Durma adds that these are standard cutting parameters.
One gap needs closing before an order. Speed, acceleration and accuracy are printed only for the HD-FN 3015, and a 6,100 mm gantry axis is a different mechanical problem from a 3,100 mm one. The Z axis is given as 125 (270) mm, as on the other two sizes.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Takes 6,096 x 2,032 mm (240.0 x 80.0 in) sheet on 6,100 mm (240.2 in) of X travel
- Laser power up to 20 kW for the series
- 400 kg/m² single-table load with 15-20 kW sources
- Capacity table lists 30 mm mild steel at 12 kW and 40 (50) mm at 20 kW
- Fully automatic dust collection filter and dual-chamber chiller, as on the rest of the range
Limitations
- Dynamic and accuracy figures are not printed for the 6,100 mm (240.2 in) bed
- Table load drops to 240 kg/m² with sources up to 12 kW
- Y travel is 2,070 mm (81.5 in), no wider than the HD-FN 4020
- Machine dimensions and weight are not given in the brochure table

Frequently Asked Questions

6,096 x 2,032 mm (240.0 x 80.0 in). The X axis travels 6,100 mm (240.2 in) and the Y axis 2,070 mm (81.5 in). Durma prints the Z axis as 125 (270) mm without explaining the figure in brackets.
02
The rating is per square metre on a single table. Durma gives 240 kg/m² for the source range it prints as 3…12 kW and 400 kg/m² for 15-20 kW. Check the thickest plate you intend to load against the rating that goes with your source.
03
According to Durma's capacity table: 40 (50) mm mild steel, 40 (50) mm stainless steel, 40 (50) mm aluminium, 15 mm copper and 20 mm brass. The values in brackets are thicknesses that can be cut with minimal burr formation, and all figures are standard cutting parameters.

The brochure does not say. It lists 141 m/min synchronized speed, 14 m/s² and ±0.05 mm for the HD-FN 3015 and gives no dynamic rows for the longer beds. Ask Durma for the speeds and accuracy that apply to this size.
