Overview

The Quaser UX600P is the higher-specification model on Quaser's double column 5-axis frame. Its table is listed as Ø600 x W500 mm (Ø23.6" x W19.7"), a diameter and a width, which suggests a round table with flats on two sides. It holds work pieces up to Ø600 x 430 mm (Ø23.6" x 16.9") and 300 kg (661 lbs).

Three entries change against the UX600C. The UX600C's 30 tools become 48 as standard here. The spindle is offered as a band, 9K ~ 15K, where the UX600C lists a single 12K. And the swing is Ø600 mm (Ø23.6") in place of the UX600C's Ø630 mm (Ø24.8"). Travels do not change: 885 mm (34.8") in X, 800 mm (31.5") in Y, 500 mm (19.7") in Z.

The larger magazine matters most. A 5-axis job tends to carry roughing tools, long-reach finishers, a probe and spare cutters for tool-life management, and 48 pockets let a family of parts share one loaded magazine. The 15K upper option suits aluminium structural parts; the 9K end points toward steels and titanium.

Quaser's description of the frame is the same for both models. The double column structure is intended to give accuracy, mechanical rigidity and machining stability, with a stable, compression-resistant design behind the spindle torsion, cutting ability and worktable load. Tools are limited to 76.2 mm (3") in diameter, 125 mm (4.9") with neighboring pots empty, and 280 mm (11.0") in length.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 48 tools as standard on the double column frame
  • Spindle band listed as 9K ~ 15K, so speed can be matched to the material
  • Table listed as Ø600 x W500 mm (Ø23.6" x W19.7") with a 300 kg (661 lbs) load
  • 800 mm (31.5") of Y travel and 885 mm (34.8") of X
  • Double column structure built for rigidity and machining stability, per Quaser

Limitations

  • Swing is Ø600 mm (Ø23.6"), slightly less than the Ø630 mm (Ø24.8") of the UX600C
  • Z travel is only 500 mm (19.7")
  • Quaser's page does not explain the P designation or list rotary axis ranges
  • Spindle power and torque are not published for either end of the 9K ~ 15K band
