Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Quaser MTG500 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Quaser MTG500 is a compact gantry-type 5-axis machining center whose rotary table Quaser says is specifically designed for high-speed mill/turn and grinding applications. It is also the only machine in the maker's range listed with an HSK T63 spindle interface.
Both details point the same way. HSK T63 is the turning-capable form of the HSK 63 interface, and a table built for mill/turn has to spin a part fast enough to cut it with a stationary tool. So the MTG500 is meant to mill a part in five axes, turn its round features and, by Quaser's account, grind, all in one clamping. Quaser's page gives no table speed, though, which is the first figure a turning job needs.
The structure is described with some care. The design aims at minimizing moving mass and maximizing stability. The center of gravity is positioned closer to the column, so the moving weight stays close to the linear guideways, which Quaser says reduces structural deformation and keeps accuracy and repeatability consistent.
Capacity is a Ø400 mm (Ø15.75") table, a Ø500 mm (Ø19.69") swing, 390 mm of work piece height and 300 kg (661.3 lbs). Travels are 825 mm (32.48") in X, 508 mm (20") in Y and 515 mm (20.28") in Z. Maximum spindle speed is listed as 15K, and the magazine holds 48 tools as standard, up to 76.2 mm (3") in diameter and 280 mm (11.0") long.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Rotary table designed for high-speed mill/turn and grinding, per Quaser
- HSK T63 spindle interface, suited to both rotating and turning tools
- Gantry-type design that keeps the moving weight close to the linear guideways
- 300 kg (661.3 lbs) table load on a Ø400 mm (Ø15.75") table
- 48 tools as standard and a spindle listed at 15K
Limitations
- No table speed for turning is published
- Rotary axis ranges, power and torque are absent from the table
- Y travel is 508 mm (20") against 825 mm (32.48") of X
- HSK T63 holders cannot be shared with the steep-taper tooling of Quaser's UX and MF machines

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Quaser states that the rotary table is specifically designed for high-speed mill/turn and grinding applications, and the spindle is listed with an HSK T63 interface. The page does not publish the table's turning speed, so ask for it along with the torque.
02
Travels are 825 mm (32.48") in X, 508 mm (20") in Y and 515 mm (20.28") in Z. The table is Ø400 mm (Ø15.75"), the maximum swing is Ø500 mm (Ø19.69") and the table load capacity is 300 kg (661.3 lbs).
03
The spindle taper is listed as HSK T63 and the maximum spindle speed as 15K. Power and torque are not given on the product page. The magazine holds 48 tools as standard.
