Overview
The Prima Power Punch Sharp 1530 (PS1530) is the middle size of the Punch Sharp servo-electric turret punch press range, for sheet up to 3,074 mm x 1,565 mm (121.0 x 61.6 in) and 8 mm (0.31 in) thick.
The turret comes in two constructions, and the choice shapes how the machine is used. The 16 station turret holds up to 384 tools, 128 of them index tools. The 20 station turret holds up to 280 tools with 80 index tools. Note that the turret with fewer stations is the one with the higher tool count, so compare the two layouts against the tool list and not by station number. Index tools rotate at 133 rpm.
Ram force is ordered in steps: 170 kN, 200 kN or 230 kN, with 250 kN for the optional PS Dynamic performance. Maximum hit speed is 700 hpm, or 900 hpm with PS Dynamic. Prima Power puts it as 700 hpm or 23 tons with Pure Performance and 900 hpm or 25 tons with Dynamic. Maximum positioning speed is 108 m/min.
Several features serve forming. Punching speed and the upper and lower limits of the stroke are fully programmable, and a lifting die gives upforming capability.
