How much does the Durma TP123 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Durma TP123 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Speed is what separates the Durma TP123 from the other two TP turret punch presses. This 30 ton machine moves at 116 m/min in X and 80 m/min in Y, 140 m/min with both axes together, and its head is listed at 1,200/min on a 1 mm pitch in 1 mm sheet. Marking runs at 3,200/min. Each of those is the highest figure in Durma's TP table.
The working area is 2,500 mm (98.4 in) + R in X by 1,250 mm (49.2 in) in Y with a single tool. Y matches the TP9, which has 2,000 mm (78.7 in) + R in X. For longer sheets the X axis repositions, and the 425/min rate at 25 mm pitch shows how much of the speed survives when the sheet has to travel between hits.
Durma describes direct drive technology on X and Y, with no belts or gears between motor and axis, and a closed-loop hydraulic punch drive. Three clamps hold the sheet and their positioning is automatic. Sheet weight goes up to 120 kg (265 lb).
The turret has fixed stations in four sizes (A: 11, B: 11, C: 2, D: 1) and 3 D-index stations for tools of 50.9-88.9 mm, so every rotating tool sits in the largest station size. The turret itself turns at 22 rpm. Behind that is a 15 kW (20.1 hp) hydraulic motor with a 240 L oil tank, the largest tank of the three. Machine weight is 12,960 kg (28,571 lb), and the footprint without light barriers is 5,360 mm (211.0 in) by 5,750 mm (226.4 in).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Fastest axes in the TP range: 116 m/min in X, 80 m/min in Y and 140 m/min combined
- Hit rate of 1,200/min at 1 mm pitch and 3,200/min in marking
- 3 D-index stations take rotating tools from 50.9 to 88.9 mm
- 30 ton punching force with a 15 kW (20.1 hp) hydraulic motor
- Three automatically positioned clamps and a 120 kg (265 lb) sheet weight limit
Limitations
- Y travel is 1,250 mm (49.2 in), the same as the smaller TP9; the TPL93 offers 1,500 mm (59.1 in)
- No B or C index stations, so small rotating tools occupy a D-index station
- Turret rotation is 22 rpm, slower than the 30 rpm of the TP9
- Width grows from 5,360 mm (211.0 in) to 7,360 mm (289.8 in) once light barriers are fitted

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table lists 116 m/min for the X axis, 80 m/min for the Y axis and 140 m/min lateral speed with both moving. Maximum hit rates are 1,200/min at 1 mm pitch in 1 mm thickness, 425/min at 25 mm pitch and 3,200/min for marking.
02
Fixed stations: 11 in size A (0.8-12.7 mm), 11 in size B (12.8-31.7 mm), 2 in size C (31.8-50.8 mm) and 1 in size D (50.9-88.9 mm). Index stations: 3 in the D size. Durma states that tools are rotatable in 0.01° increments, and the index stations turn at 150 rpm.
03
Both are 30 ton machines with the same turret layout. The TPL93 is the large-format version, with 3,000 mm (118.1 in) + R by 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of travel, four clamps and a 200 kg (441 lb) sheet limit. The TP123 is the faster one, at 116 m/min in X against 70 m/min on the TPL93.
04
Without light barriers the machine is 5,360 mm (211.0 in) wide, 5,750 mm (226.4 in) long and 2,310 mm (90.9 in) high. With light barriers it needs 7,360 mm (289.8 in) by 6,800 mm (267.7 in). It weighs 12,960 kg (28,571 lb) and the table asks for 6 bar of air.
