Overview
The Prima Power Combi Sharp 1225 (CS1225) is a compact punching and fiber laser cutting cell for sheet up to 2,500 mm x 1,250 mm (98.4 x 49.2 in). It is built on the Punch Sharp turret punch press, with a fiber laser added for contours and part separation.
On the punching side the ram force is 230 kN (25 US Tons), hit speed is 700 hpm and positioning speed is 108 m/min. Index tools rotate at 166 rpm. Punching is servo-electric, with a fully programmable stroke length that allows forming operations up to bending. The laser is a fiber source of 3 or 4 kW, and it needs no laser gas.
Both processes are rated to the same 8 mm (0.31 in) maximum sheet thickness, in aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel. Maximum sheet weight is 200 kg (441 lb). Average power consumption is listed in three parts: 3.2 kW for the punch, plus 8 kW for the YLS-3000 laser or 9 kW for the YLS-4000.
The turret data needs a careful read. The technical data gives the standard turret as 20 stations; 250 tools (4 index, 35 tools), while the headline text says a customized turret allows up to 384 standard or 128 index tools, and 16 and 20 station constructions are both offered. Ask Prima Power for the turret layout of the machine quoted and count the tools from that drawing.
Because the machine is modular, Prima Power notes that a Punch Sharp can grow into a combi later. A larger combined machine exists as the Combi Genius.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Maximum sheet size is 2,500 mm x 1,250 mm (98.4 x 49.2 in), with a maximum sheet weight of 200 kg (441 lb). Maximum sheet thickness is 8 mm (0.31 in) for both punching and laser cutting.
02
A fiber laser with two cutting powers, 3 or 4 kW. The average power consumption rows name them as YLS-3000 at 8 kW and YLS-4000 at 9 kW. Prima Power states that the fiber technology requires no laser gas.
03
The technical data lists the standard turret as 20 stations; 250 tools (4 index, 35 tools). Elsewhere the page says the customized turret design allows up to 384 standard or 128 index tools, with 16 and 20 station alternatives. Confirm the layout on the quotation.
04
Hit speed is 700 hpm and positioning speed is 108 m/min. Index tool rotation speed is 166 rpm. Punching is servo-electric, so low ram speeds can also be programmed for forming tools.
