Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Prima Power Shear Brilliance 1530 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Prima Power Shear Brilliance 1530 (SB1530) is a punching and shearing combined machine for sheet up to 3,100 mm x 1,565 mm (122.0 x 61.6 in). It punches the features and then cuts the parts loose with an integrated right angle shear, so rectangular parts leave the machine finished and there is no skeleton.
It is the high-speed machine of Prima Power's punch-shear line, based on composite materials, servo-electric technology and linear drives. Positioning speed is up to 210 m/min. The hit speed table reads 1,300 hpm at 1 mm, 580 hpm at 25 mm and 235 hpm at 250 mm, with marking at 3,000 hpm. Ram force is 300 kN (33 US tons).
Prima Power highlights a 3,100 mm common working area, meaning punching and shearing are done without repositioning the sheet. That matches the length of this model's maximum sheet. Loading takes place in hidden time.
Tool capacity is large. The turret is built with 24 or 30 stations, and the maximum is 600 tools, of which up to 576 can be index tools. The shear has a programmable blade height and automatic stroke depth adjustment, and blade speed is selected automatically.
Note what the page leaves out. No maximum sheet thickness is given for punching or shearing on the Shear Brilliance. The sister Shear Genius 1530 page does print thickness limits, so if material thickness is close to the limit of the process, get the figure for this machine in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Positioning speed is up to 210 m/min. Hit speeds are 1,300 hpm at 1 mm, 580 hpm at 25 mm and 235 hpm at 250 mm; marking runs at 3,000 hpm. Prima Power calls 1,300 hpm the fastest hit rate available for fabricating full format sheets.
02
Maximum sheet size is 3,100 mm x 1,565 mm (122.0 x 61.6 in). Prima Power also cites a 3,100 mm common working area, in which punching and shearing take place without repositioning.
03
Up to 600 tools in the turret, with a maximum of 576 index tools. The turret is built in two alternatives, 24 and 30 stations, and uses Multi-Tools and a rotating Auto-Index system.
04
Most sheet metal components are rectangular. Punching first and then shearing the parts loose in the same automatic process leaves no skeleton, less punching scrap and no nibble marks on part edges, according to Prima Power.
