How much does the Pinnacle LV116 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Pinnacle LV116 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Pinnacle LV116 moves the LV linear-way design up a frame size: 1,140 mm (44.9 in) in X and 610 mm (24.0 in) in both Y and Z, over a 1,300 x 610 mm (51.2 x 24.0 in) table rated for 850 kg (1,874 lb). Guideways are 45mm wide and the ball screws 40mm in diameter on this size.
What sets this page apart from the smaller LV machines is the taper choice. Pinnacle's table has an ISO40 column and an ISO50 column. The ISO40 spindle has a 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp) motor and runs 60 ~ 8,000(10,000/12,000) rpm on a belt, or 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm direct-drive. The ISO50 spindle has 11 / 15 kW (14.8 / 20.1 hp), a 2,000 kgf draw bar and 60 ~ 8,000 rpm on the belt.
The taper changes the tooling too. With ISO40 the 24-tool magazine takes tools to Ø90 mm (Ø3.5 in), 250 mm (9.8 in) long and 8 kg (18 lb). With ISO50 that becomes Ø105 mm (Ø4.1 in), 300 mm (11.8 in) and 15 kg (33 lb). A gear box is offered as an option for heavy cutting.
Rapids are 30 / 30 / 24 m/min. The machine weighs 6,500 kg (14,330 lb), takes 3,100 x 2,230 mm (122.0 x 87.8 in) of floor and needs 20 kVA. The LV126 is the same machine with X extended to 1,270 mm (50.0 in).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Offered with either an ISO40 or an ISO50 spindle on the same 1,140 x 610 x 610 mm frame
- ISO50 version brings 11 / 15 kW (14.8 / 20.1 hp) and tools up to 15 kg (33 lb)
- 850 kg (1,874 lb) table load on a 1,300 x 610 mm (51.2 x 24.0 in) table
- 45mm linear guideways and 40mm class C3 ball screws on three axes
Limitations
- Belt-driven ISO50 spindle tops out at 8,000 rpm, so the bigger taper gives up the high-speed options
- Gear box, coolant through spindle and chip conveyor are options
- Z rapid is 24 m/min, slower than the 30 m/min of X and Y

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Yes. The specification table carries an ISO40 and an ISO50 column, and the feature list reads ISO40 (ISO50) Spindle Taper. The ISO50 spindle has an 11 / 15 kW (14.8 / 20.1 hp) motor, a 2,000 kgf draw bar and a 60 ~ 8,000 rpm belt drive.
02
The disk magazine holds 24 tools. On the ISO40 machine a tool can be Ø90 mm (Ø3.5 in), 250 mm (9.8 in) long and 8 kg (18 lb). On the ISO50 machine the limits are Ø105 mm (Ø4.1 in), 300 mm (11.8 in) and 15 kg (33 lb).
03
The LV126 has 1,270 mm (50.0 in) of X travel and a 1,440 x 610 mm (56.7 x 24.0 in) table. Y, Z, the 850 kg table load and the spindle choices are shared. The LV116 is lighter at 6,500 kg (14,330 lb) and shorter on the floor.
04
Rapids are 30 / 30 / 24 m/min in X, Y and Z, and the cutting feed rate is 10,000 mm/min. The axes run on 45mm linear guideways with 40mm ball screws coupled directly to the servo motors.
