Overview

With 1,020 mm (40.2 in) of X travel on a 1,200 x 510 mm (47.2 x 20.1 in) table, the Pinnacle LV105 is the longer of the two small LV linear-way machines. Y and Z stay at 560 mm (22.0 in) each, the taper is ISO40, and the main motor is 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp).

That motor is the real difference from the LV85. The LV85 has 5.5 / 7.5 kW (7.4 / 10.1 hp); here the extra power comes with a 25 kVA supply requirement instead of 20 kVA. Everything else in the spindle rows matches: belt drive at 60 ~ 8,000(10,000/12,000) rpm, a two-range gear head, or direct drive at 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm.

A long, narrow table like this suits rows of vises or a fourth axis with a tailstock more than deep plates. The load limit is 600 kg (1,323 lb), unchanged from the smaller model, so the added length is for more parts per setup and not for heavier ones.

Rapids are 36 / 36 / 24 m/min. The disk magazine holds 24 tools up to Ø90 mm (Ø3.5 in). The machine weighs 5,700 kg (12,566 lb) and needs 2,820 x 2,230 mm (111.0 x 87.8 in) of floor. Pinnacle marks coolant through spindle and the chip conveyor as options, so a production setup will add to the base specification.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 1,020 mm (40.2 in) of X travel on a 1,200 x 510 mm (47.2 x 20.1 in) table for multi-vise setups
  • 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp) motor, a step up from the LV85 on the same frame family
  • Direct-drive spindle choices of 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm alongside belt and gear heads
  • 24-tool disk magazine and 36 / 36 / 24 m/min rapids

Limitations

  • Table load is 600 kg (1,323 lb), no higher than the shorter LV85
  • Y travel of 560 mm (22.0 in) is small against the X travel, so wide plates do not fit
  • Needs a 25 kVA supply, more than its smaller sibling

Best For

Long parts and rows of vises along 1,020 mm (40.2 in) of X Fourth-axis work that needs table length for a tailstock General ISO40 milling in steel and aluminium

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How big is the table on the Pinnacle LV105?

The table is 1,200 x 510 mm (47.2 x 20.1 in) with T-slots listed as 18 x 100 x 5 (width x distance x number, in mm). It carries 600 kg (1,323 lb), and X travel under it is 1,020 mm (40.2 in).

02 What spindle motor does the LV105 have?

The main motor is rated 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp), continuous and 30 minute. It drives an ISO40 spindle that can be belt-driven at 60 ~ 8,000(10,000/12,000) rpm, gear-driven up to 8,000 rpm, or direct-drive at 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm.

03 Is coolant through the spindle included on the LV105?

No. Pinnacle marks coolant through spindle as an option, along with the 20 bar high-pressure pump and tank and the chip conveyor. Air blast through spindle, rigid tapping and a spindle oil cooler appear in the accessories list.

04 How much floor space does the LV105 need?

Floor space is 2,820 x 2,230 mm (111.0 x 87.8 in) and the machine is 2,750 mm (108.3 in) high. It weighs 5,700 kg (12,566 lb), needs a 25 kVA electrical supply and air at 6 kg/cm².
