How much does the OPS Ingersoll HIGH SPEED EAGLE V7linear cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the OPS Ingersoll HIGH SPEED EAGLE V7linear that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The OPS Ingersoll HIGH SPEED EAGLE V7linear is a 5-axis high-speed machining center with direct drives in all axes, 600 × 660 × 400 mm (23.6 × 26.0 × 15.7 in) of working area and a rotary-tilting table with an A-axis of ±100° and a continuous 360° C-axis. The maker presents it as a new machine generation.
Direct drives are the reason the traverse speed is 60 m/min, twice the 30 m/min listed for the HIGH SPEED EAGLE V5. With no ball screws there is no screw wear and no backlash to compensate, the brochure argues, and maintenance is reduced. The rotary axes are fast as well, at 100 rpm for both A and C.
Outside the working area the linear axes have extra room: X carries 120 mm of auxiliary travel and Y 320 mm. The table works two ways. In 3-axis use it offers 750 × 650 mm (29.5 × 25.6 in) for up to 500 kg (1,102 lb). In 5-axis use the table is Ø 430 mm (16.9 in), and a pallet-mounted workpiece can be Ø 500 mm by 300 mm high at up to 200 kg (441 lb).
Spindles are HSK-E40 at 42,000 rpm or HSK-E50 at 36,000 rpm, with a rotary union for through-spindle coolant included as standard. As an option, CSC shaft cooling is credited by the maker with up to 70% less axial tool elongation. The magazine comes with 51, 96 or 197 positions inside the machine's own footprint, and tools can be 260 mm (10.2 in) long.
Control is a HEIDENHAIN TNC7 with a 24-inch touchscreen, and IO-Link ties in tools and peripherals. The machine occupies 2,100 × 3,600 × 2,900 mm (82.7 × 141.7 × 114.2 in) and weighs 9,500 kg (20,944 lb). The published table gives no spindle power or connected load.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Direct drives in all axes with a traverse speed of 60 m/min
- A-axis tilting range of ±100° with a continuously rotating C-axis, both at 100 rpm
- Through-spindle coolant rotary union included as standard
- Tool magazine with 51, 96 or 197 positions without extra floor space
- Temperature control covers all relevant components, including the rotary-tilting table
- HEIDENHAIN TNC7 control with a 24-inch touchscreen
Limitations
- 5-axis workpieces are limited to 200 kg (441 lb), Ø 500 mm and 300 mm of height on a pallet
- Z travel is 400 mm (15.7 in), which limits tall workpieces and long tools together
- The published data give no spindle power, acceleration or connected load
- CSC shaft cooling, the source of the 70% elongation claim, is an option
- Maximum tool length is 260 mm (10.2 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X is 600 mm (23.6 in) with a further 120 mm of auxiliary travel, Y is 660 mm (26.0 in) with 320 mm of auxiliary travel, and Z is 400 mm (15.7 in). The A-axis tilts ±100° and the C-axis rotates through 360° continuously. The maximum distance between table and spindle is 570 mm (22.4 in).
02
Every axis is driven directly, without mechanical transmission components. The brochure lists the consequences it expects: zero backlash, low maintenance because there are no ball screws, and shorter non-cutting times from traverse speeds of up to 60 m/min. The table adds 100 rpm for the A- and C-axis.
03
Two spindles are listed, HSK-E40 at 42,000 rpm and HSK-E50 at 36,000 rpm, each with a rotary union for through-spindle coolant as standard. The tool changer is available with 51, 96 or 197 magazine positions and accepts tools up to 260 mm (10.2 in) long. CSC spindle shaft cooling is optional.
04
For 3-axis work the limit is 750 × 650 mm (29.5 × 25.6 in) with 400 mm of height, up to 500 kg (1,102 lb). For 5-axis work it is Ø 500 mm and 300 mm high on a pallet, up to 200 kg (441 lb). The 5-axis table itself is Ø 430 mm (16.9 in). Workpiece automation is by an external handling system.
05
A HEIDENHAIN TNC7 with a 24-inch touchscreen that the operator can customise. The brochure highlights rapid block processing for simultaneous 5-axis work and assistance functions for programming and setup. IO-Link connects the machine, tools and peripheral equipment and supplies process data in real time.
