How much does the GF Machining Mikron MILL E 1900 U ST cost?
Estimated price range
Our best estimate for a 5-axis machining center in this class — not a quote from GF Machining Solutions. Configuration moves it a long way.
Overview
The Mikron MILL E 1900 U ST is the mill-turn version of the Mikron MILL E 1900 U: 1880 x 1400 x 930 mm of travel, a radial T-slot table of Ø1500 mm built for simultaneous turning, and a 12,000 rpm HSK-T100 spindle rated 34 kW and 321 Nm.
Load capacity is the clearest difference between the two. GF rates the ST table at 4000 kg for milling and 2400 kg for turning, while the Mikron MILL E 1900 U is rated 1500 kg, so the ST is the version to look at for heavy housings, rings and large castings. The rotary axis turns n x 360°, and GF lists 30 rpm and 300 rpm for it under simultaneous turning, with 11 and 20 rpm for the swivel axis on S6. GF states that doing milling and turning on one machine removes rechucking and cuts setup time by more than 50%.
The HSK-T100 interface holds turning tools as well as milling cutters, so one magazine serves both. Tool storage starts with a 30-pocket magazine and runs to tower magazines of 88, 130 or 175 pockets. The swivel range with the HSK-T100 head is listed as +20 to -110°, and the linear axes feed at 41 m/min.
For the series, GF describes a thermo-symmetrical structure, offers pallet changers that lower hydraulically to working height as automation, and states that almost all options can be retrofitted. With parts of up to 4000 kg in play, crane access and floor loading around the machine deserve as much planning as the machine itself.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Table rated 4000 kg for milling and 2400 kg for turning, against 1500 kg on the Mikron MILL E 1900 U
- Milling and turning in one clamping on a Ø1500 mm radial T-slot table, with 300 rpm listed for simultaneous turning
- 12,000 rpm HSK-T100 spindle rated 34 kW and 321 Nm, holding turning and milling tools
- 1880 x 1400 x 930 mm of travel with 41 m/min axis feed
- Tool magazines from 30 pockets up to towers of 88, 130 or 175
Limitations
- GF's table for the ST lists only the 12,000 rpm HSK-T100 spindle, so small-tool high-speed finishing is not its strength
- Turning load is 2400 kg, well below the 4000 kg milling rating, so a part heavy enough to mill may still be too heavy to turn
- The HSK-T100 magazines stop at 175 pockets, while the Mikron MILL E 1900 U offers towers of up to 336 with HSK-A63
- Pallet changers and tower magazines are automation options rather than part of the base machine

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Both have 1880 x 1400 x 930 mm of travel. The Mikron MILL E 1900 U has a Ø1600 mm parallel T-slot table rated 1500 kg and spindles with HSK-A100 or HSK-A63 interfaces. The ST has a Ø1500 mm radial table built for simultaneous turning, rated 4000 kg for milling and 2400 kg for turning, and a 12,000 rpm HSK-T100 spindle.
02
GF lists a 12,000 rpm spindle with an HSK-T100 interface, rated 34 kW and 321 Nm. HSK-T100 clamps turning tools as well as milling cutters, which lets one magazine serve both kinds of operation. GF describes the series spindles as STEP TEC units with three preloaded hybrid ball bearings at the front.
03
GF's table lists 30 rpm and 300 rpm for the rotary axis, both under simultaneous turning, without saying which applies to which mode. Ask GF to confirm the usable turning speed for your part diameter, and plan to balance large parts near the Ø1500 mm table limit.
04
For the series, GF offers pallet changers with hydraulic lowering, so parts can be clamped during machining time, and tool magazines from 30 to 336 positions. For the ST, the listed magazines are 30 pockets or towers of 88, 130 or 175. GF states that almost all options can be retrofitted.
