Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Okuma MB-100V that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Okuma MB-100V is a long-table vertical machining center built around a 3,000 x 1,000 mm (118.11 x 39.37 in) table and a maximum machining volume of 3,200 x 1,250 x 750 mm (125.98 x 49.21 x 29.53 in). The machining volume is larger than the table in both plan directions, so the spindle reaches past the table edges on long or wide workpieces. The MB-80V, by comparison, has a 1,600 × 800 mm (62.99 × 31.50 in) table.
Spindle power is 26 / 18.5 kW (35 / 25 hp) as standard, with 30 / 22 kW (40 / 30 hp) or 33 / 26 kW (44 / 35 hp) optional. Rapid traverse is 32 m/min (1,260 ipm) in X and Z and 42 m/min (1,654 ipm) in Y. Okuma also lists an option that sets all three axes to 20 m/min (787 ipm), a slower figure, so check which rapid specification a quoted machine carries. The magazine holds 32 tools, with 48 or 64 optional.
Okuma's product page gives no spindle speed, taper or table load for this model. On a table three metres long those are the figures that decide what can be loaded and cut, so request the full specification sheet.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,200 x 1,250 x 750 mm (125.98 x 49.21 x 29.53 in) maximum machining volume
- 3,000 x 1,000 mm (118.11 x 39.37 in) table for long parts or several fixtures
- Spindle power options up to 33 / 26 kW (44 / 35 hp)
- 42 m/min (1,654 ipm) Y rapid and 32 m/min (1,260 ipm) in X and Z on the standard specification
Limitations
- Spindle speed, taper and table load are not stated among the published rows
- One listed option limits rapids to 20 m/min (787 ipm) on all axes
- 64 tools is the largest magazine listed, for a table that can hold many setups

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The maximum machining volume is 3,200 x 1,250 x 750 mm (125.98 x 49.21 x 29.53 in), over a table of 3,000 x 1,000 mm (118.11 x 39.37 in). Both the length and the width of the machining volume exceed the table, which helps with workpieces that overhang it.
02
26 / 18.5 kW (35 / 25 hp) is standard. The options are 30 / 22 kW (40 / 30 hp) or 33 / 26 kW (44 / 35 hp). The MB-80V is listed with the same 26/18.5 kW base and 30/22 and 33/26 kW options, so the larger machine adds envelope, not power.
03
X and Z move at 32 m/min (1,260 ipm) and Y at 42 m/min (1,654 ipm). An optional specification is listed with X, Y and Z all at 20 m/min (787 ipm). Over 3,200 mm of X, the difference in positioning time between the two shows on parts with features spread along the table.
