How much does the MCM CLOCK 800 EVO cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the MCM CLOCK 800 EVO that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The MCM CLOCK 800 EVO is a horizontal machining center with 800 mm (31.5 in) of travel on each of X, Y and Z and a rapid feed of 75 m/min (2,952.8 ipm) on all three axes. MCM describes it as the most compact machine of the CLOCK EVO line and offers it in three axis configurations: 4-Axes, 5-Axes and 5-Axes Multitasking.
The cube-shaped envelope is the same in every configuration, and that sets this size apart from its larger siblings. On the CLOCK 1000 EVO the 5-axis versions give up Z travel, 1,000 mm (39.4 in) against 1,100 mm (43.3 in) on the 4-axis machine. Here the tilting table costs nothing in stroke. Pallets are 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) or 500 x 630 mm (19.7 x 24.8 in) on the two milling versions, and a round Ø 630 mm (Ø 24.8 in) pallet on the Multitasking version.
The fifth axis is a tilting table with 140 degrees of swing, split +35/-105. The B-axis rotary table turns at up to 100 min-1 on the 4-Axes and 5-Axes machines. In the Multitasking column MCM lists milling, turning, grinding and power skiving, so the table has to act as a turning spindle there. Confirm the table speed for turning with MCM before planning cutting data around it.
Spindles come with HSK, ISO or CAPTO tapers. The magazine row reads "up to 80 (500+)", and the page doesn't explain the bracketed figure, so ask which magazine sits behind each number. Every version can be supplied as a Single-Pallet, Twin-Pallet or Multi-Pallet machine or built into an FMS. That is where a compact 800 mm machine earns its floor space: several of them fed from one pallet line.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Equal 800 mm (31.5 in) travels on X, Y and Z in all three axis configurations, so choosing five axes does not shorten any stroke
- Rapid feed of 75 m/min (2,952.8 ipm) on X, Y and Z
- The 5-Axes Multitasking version adds turning, grinding and power skiving to milling on a Ø 630 mm (Ø 24.8 in) pallet
- Tilting table with 140 degrees of travel (+35/-105) on the 5-axis versions
- Spindle taper is a choice of HSK, ISO or CAPTO
- Available as Single-Pallet, Twin-Pallet, Multi-Pallet or as part of an FMS
Limitations
- The largest pallet on the milling versions is 500 x 630 mm (19.7 x 24.8 in), which rules out the bigger fixtures the CLOCK 1000 EVO takes on its 630 x 800 mm (24.8 x 31.5 in) pallet
- The Multitasking version is listed with one pallet only, Ø 630 mm (Ø 24.8 in); there is no second pallet option in that column
- MCM's table gives no spindle power, torque, pallet load or machine weight, so those have to come from a quotation
- The tilting table swings only 35 degrees to the positive side, so undercut features must be reached from the -105 side

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X, Y and Z are each 800 mm (31.5 in), and the figure is the same for the 4-Axes, 5-Axes and 5-Axes Multitasking configurations. Rapid feed is 75 m/min (2,952.8 ipm) on all three axes.
02
The 4-Axes and 5-Axes versions take a 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) pallet or, as the second option, 500 x 630 mm (19.7 x 24.8 in). The 5-Axes Multitasking version is listed with a round Ø 630 mm (Ø 24.8 in) pallet and no second option. MCM's table doesn't state a pallet load.
03
MCM lists four processes for the 5-Axes Multitasking configuration: milling, turning, grinding and power skiving. The 4-Axes and 5-Axes configurations are listed for milling only. The Multitasking machine keeps the same 800 mm (31.5 in) travels and the tilting table with its 140 degrees (+35/-105) of swing.
04
The tool magazine row gives a capacity of "up to 80 (500+)" for every configuration. MCM's page marks the row with a footnote but doesn't print the note, so the meaning of the bracketed figure, and which magazine type reaches it, should be confirmed with MCM. Tool tapers offered are HSK, ISO and CAPTO.
05
Yes. MCM lists four configurations for it: Single-Pallet, Twin-Pallet, Multi-Pallet and FMS. The whole CLOCK EVO line is offered in those forms, and MCM describes the compact design as easy and quick to install.
