Overview
The Mazak INTEGREX i-100H S is the compact horizontal dual-spindle multi-tasking machine in the INTEGREX i-H lineup, combining the horizontal milling head orientation with a sub spindle for done-in-one processing of small parts in chip-problematic materials. The horizontal orientation provides gravity-assisted chip evacuation that is particularly valuable when machining stainless, titanium, and Inconel unattended.
The main turning spindle delivers 18.5 kW (25 hp) at 5,000 RPM through a 6-inch chuck with 51 mm (2.0 in) bar capacity. The sub spindle enables part transfer and back-working operations. The compact horizontal milling spindle, 17% shorter than conventional, runs at 12,000 RPM with 12 kW (16 hp) through HSK-A63.
Axis travels provide a maximum machining diameter of 600 mm (23.62 in) and maximum machining length of 851 mm (33.46 in). Y-axis travel is 210 mm (8.27 in). The B-axis provides 240 degrees with roller cam drive and 0.0001-degree resolution. Standard ball screw core cooling on X, Y, Z axes.
The standard 36-tool ATC expands to 72 tools. SmoothAi with Ai Thermal Shield. Machine weight approximately 8,500 kg (18,739 lb). New machines $300,000-$420,000. Competes with DMG Mori NTX 1000 and Nakamura-Tome JX-200.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Horizontal milling head provides gravity-assisted chip evacuation for unattended stainless, titanium, and Inconel machining
- Sub spindle enables complete done-in-one processing of both part ends on small components
- 5,000 RPM main spindle is fast enough for excellent surface finish on small-diameter aluminum and non-ferrous work
- Compact footprint makes this the most space-efficient horizontal multi-tasking machine
- Ball screw core cooling on all axes maintains thermal stability
- 240-degree B-axis delivers full 5-axis capability in a compact horizontal format
Limitations
- 51 mm bar capacity limits to small-diameter work; shops running larger bar need i-200H S or i-250H S
- 210 mm Y-axis is narrower than 300 mm on larger i-H models, limiting off-center feature reach
- 12 kW milling spindle is adequate for small parts but lacks power for heavy milling
- Starting near $300K for a compact machine requires consistent complex-part production to justify

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Base starts around $300,000. With 20K RPM milling spindle, expanded magazine, and bar feeder interface runs $360K-$420K.
02
Same core specs but horizontal milling head. H variant is preferred for stringy-chip materials and unattended operation. Adds 10-15% price premium and slightly larger footprint.
03
Yes. 18.5 kW turning spindle handles titanium turning. 12K RPM HSK-A63 milling spindle with proper tooling and high-pressure coolant. Horizontal orientation aids chip clearing.
04
Supports bar feeders up to 51 mm diameter. LNS Alpha 51 or equivalent. Magazine-style for extended unattended runtime.
