Yawei HPM-3048

The Yawei HPM-3048 is a servo turret punch press from Yawei's high-end HPM line, with 294 kN of nominal force, 56 standard die positions and a top punching frequency of 2,500 cpm. Seven controlled axes are listed, 7 (X, Y1, Y2, T1, T2, C, Z).

That axis list is what separates the HPM from Yawei's other turret punches. Two Y axes and two T axes appear where the HPE-3048 lists a single Y and a single T, and the turret holds 56 positions. The headline hit rate is higher as well. In nibbling terms the table gives 900 cpm (1 mm step, 6 mm stroke) and 450 cpm (25.4 mm step, 6 mm stroke); the second of those is the figure that describes ordinary hole patterns on a pitch.

Sheet capacity is 1,250 x 5,000 mm (49.2 x 196.9 in) including one repositioning, in carbon steel up to 6.35 mm (0.25 in) and stainless up to 4 mm (0.16 in). The largest single punch is Φ88.9 mm (3.5 in), and punching accuracy is ±0.1 mm (±0.0039 in). The sheet moves at up to 102 m/min and the turret turns at 30 rpm.

Yawei says the ram is driven by a servo stamping system and that the rotating stations use a patented constant-mesh design for better repeat positioning. Roll forming is supported. The machine is 5,610 mm (220.9 in) long, 5,000 mm (196.9 in) wide and 2,300 mm (90.6 in) high, weighs 17,500 kg (38,580 lb), and needs air at 0.6 MPa. The HPM-3058 is the longer frame, with identical punching figures.
