Salvagnini S1.30 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Salvagnini S1.30 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Salvagnini or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training

Overview

The Salvagnini S1.30 is a punch-laser combi machine for sheet up to 3,048 x 1,524 mm (120.0 x 60.0 in). It punches, forms, taps and laser-cuts in one clamping, which is why Salvagnini calls it a work center instead of a punching machine with a laser attached.

Punching is done by a multi-press head, not a turret. The head's die structure houses up to 59 tools, each actuated individually and always available, so there is no turret rotation or tool change inside the cycle. It works with B, C, D and MultiTool type stations. An optional electrical tapping unit beside the operating head can house up to 6 different tools.

The laser is a fiber source, listed at 3000-4000 W, cutting with nitrogen or compressed air. Its job is to separate parts and cut the contours a punch cannot make economically. Both processes share one thickness window: 5.0 mm (0.20 in) maximum in aluminum, steel and stainless steel, and 0.5 mm (0.02 in) minimum. That makes the S1.30 a thin-sheet machine. Anything thicker belongs on a standalone laser.

Small blanks are the other limit to note. The minimum sheet is 670 x 400 mm (26.4 x 15.7 in), so short remnants cannot be fed back in. Several adaptive functions work in the background: a centering control measures the incoming sheet and adapts the program to its actual dimensions, the two-carriage manipulator changes its dynamics with sheet size and weight, and the manipulator axes are compensated for thermal expansion. The S1.40 is the same machine for 4,064 x 1,524 mm sheet.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Multi-press head houses up to 59 tools, each actuated individually and always available
  • Punching, forming, tapping and fiber laser cutting in one machine without regripping or re-tooling
  • Punching and laser cutting both cover 0.5 mm (0.02 in) to 5.0 mm (0.20 in) in aluminum, steel and stainless steel
  • Laser cuts with nitrogen or compressed air
  • Centering control measures the incoming sheet and adapts the program to its actual dimensions

Limitations

  • Maximum material thickness is 5.0 mm (0.20 in) for every listed material
  • Minimum sheet is 670 x 400 mm (26.4 x 15.7 in), so small remnants cannot be reloaded
  • The tapping unit is optional and holds up to 6 different tools
  • Laser source power is listed only as 3000-4000 W, with no thickness split by power

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the difference between the S1.30 and the S1.40?

Sheet length. The S1.30 takes a maximum sheet of 3,048 x 1,524 mm (120.0 x 60.0 in). The S1.40 takes 4,064 x 1,524 mm. Minimum sheet size, technologies, laser source power and material thickness limits are the same in Salvagnini's table.

02 How many punching tools does the S1.30 hold?

The multi-press head has a die structure that houses up to 59 tools. Each tool is actuated individually and is always available, which removes in-cycle set-ups. The head works with B, C, D and MultiTool type stations.

03 What laser does the Salvagnini S1.30 use?

A fiber laser. The technical data lists the source power as 3000-4000 W and the assist gas as nitrogen or compressed air. Maximum thickness in laser cutting is 5.0 mm (0.20 in) for aluminum, steel and stainless steel.

04 How can the S1.30 be automated?

Feeding options include the AFD pack feeder, the MD single-sheet store-tower in configurations from 6 to 15 trays, and the MV multi-tower tray store. For unloading there are the UC comb-structure device and the TM and TML telescopic Cartesian manipulators, which pick and stack parts without destroying the skeleton.
