Overview
The Litz LH-350A is a compact 40-taper horizontal machining center with two 350 x 350 mm (13.8 x 13.8 in) pallets. It shares its frame with the LH-300, including the 460 x 460 x 350 mm travels, and replaces the 30-taper spindle with a No.40 unit at 12,000 rpm.
That swap changes the tooling more than the cutting force. Tool shank is CAT40II, tools may weigh 8 kg (18 lb) and reach 320 mm (12.6 in) in length, and diameter can be 80 mm (3.1 in), or 160 mm (6.3 in) without adjacent tools.
