How much does the Juaristi MX9-RAM cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Juaristi MX9-RAM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Juaristi MX9-RAM tops the MX-RAM travelling column range with 71/96 kW of head power and spindle torque of 4,050-8,650 Nm (2,987-6,380 lb-ft). Its RAM is the larger 520 x 580 mm section, the boring bar comes in 160-180-205 mm diameters, and W travel is 1,000 mm (39.4 in).
Reach is the headline. Z is listed as 1,500-1,900 mm, and Juaristi's own text sums up the boring machine's travel as 1,900+1,000 mm, RAM plus bar. That is far enough to work across the inside of a wide fabrication from one side, and it is why the maker talks about parts up to 7 m high and 5 m wide. Y runs from 3,000 mm to 7,000 mm in 500 mm steps.
Three speeds are printed, 3,000–2,500-2,000 min-1, against three bar diameters. The natural reading is one top speed per bar, with the 205 mm bar the slowest and strongest, but Juaristi does not spell that out. The torque floor here, 4,050 Nm, equals the ceiling of the MX7-RAM, so the two sizes do not overlap in cutting capacity the way they do in height.
Expect measured axis motion. Rapid feeds are 30-20-20-15 m/min. A machine of this class is normally installed with rotary tables, and the maker lists tables of 8 to 180 tonne capacity with up to 5,000 x 6,000 mm of surface, including turning and tilting versions.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Head power of 71/96 kW and spindle torque of 4,050-8,650 Nm
- RAM of 520 x 580 mm with a Z stroke of 1,500-1,900 mm
- Boring bar up to 205 mm in diameter with 1,000 mm of W travel
- Vertical travel up to 7,000 mm
- Compatible with rotary tables of 8 to 180 tonne capacity, including turning and tilting tables
Limitations
- Rapid feeds of 30-20-20-15 m/min are the slowest of the MX-RAM sizes
- Top spindle speed is 3,000 min-1 and falls to 2,000 min-1 in the row's last value
- The pairing of bar diameter, speed and torque is left to the reader
- No accuracy, weight or foundation requirements in the table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Head power is 71/96 kW (95.2/128.7 hp) and spindle torque 4,050-8,650 Nm, through 2 ranges. Spindle speed is listed as 3,000–2,500-2,000 min-1. These are the highest power and torque values in the MX-RAM table.
02
The RAM stroke (Z) is 1,500-1,900 mm and the boring bar travel (W) 1,000 mm. Juaristi's feature list states the combination as 1,900+1,000 mm for the boring machine. The RAM section is 520 x 580 mm (20.5 x 22.8 in).
03
The table lists 160-180-205 mm (6.3-7.1-8.1 in). It does not tie a diameter to a specific speed or torque, so the offer should state the bar, its top speed and the torque available at the bar.
04
Y is given as 3,000 mm plus N x 500 mm, up to 7,000 mm. X is 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm. An operator platform with three independent movements in X, Y and Z is listed by the maker, which is needed to follow the head at that height.
