Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Juaristi TX-S TX1-MG8 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Juaristi TX-S TX1-MG8 is the smallest table-type milling-boring center in the TX-S series, a horizontal boring mill with a 110-130 mm (4.3-5.1 in) boring bar, 600 mm (23.6 in) of W travel and a rotary table rated at 8,000 kg (17,637 lb).
Y and Z are each offered at 1,500, 2,000 or 2,500 mm. Juaristi's table prints the X row for this model with inconsistent number formatting, so the cross travel is not given here and should be taken from the quotation.
This is the boring version of the TX1 frame. The milling center of the same size, listed in the TX Series table as TX1-MG8, runs a fixed spindle to 6,000 min-1. Here the bar turns at 3,500-3,000 min-1 with 40/46 kW, and what you gain is the W axis: the bar feeds 600 mm out of the head, so a bore deep inside a housing can be reached without hanging the whole headstock over the part.
Two table sizes are listed, 1,250×1,250 mm and 1,600×2,000 mm, turning at 5 min-1. Rapid feeds read 30-25 m/min under a heading of X, Y, Z, W, with no split by axis. The two bar diameters, the two power figures and the two speeds are not matched up in the table either. A fair reading is that the thicker bar runs slower, but that is an inference to check.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Boring bar of 110-130 mm with 600 mm of W travel for deep bores
- Hydrostatic rotary table for 8,000 kg, in 1,250×1,250 mm or 1,600×2,000 mm
- Spindle power of 40/46 kW at 3,500-3,000 min-1
- Y and Z travels selectable at 1,500, 2,000 or 2,500 mm
- Chain tool magazine of 30-160 positions or robot type up to 400 positions, per the maker
Limitations
- W travel of 600 mm is the shortest in the TX-S table
- Table load of 8,000 kg rules out heavy castings
- No spindle torque is published for this model
- Bar diameter, power and speed pairs are not matched in the table, and the X row is not printed cleanly

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Boring bar diameter is listed as 110-130 mm (4.3-5.1 in) and its axial W travel as 600 mm (23.6 in). Head spindle power is 40/46 kW and spindle rotation speed 3,500-3,000 min-1. The table does not say which diameter goes with which power and speed.
02
Load capacity is 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). Table sizes are 1,250×1,250 mm and 1,600×2,000 mm, and the table rotation speed is 5 min-1. Juaristi describes the table as hydrostatic with a double pinion system.
03
Y, the vertical head travel, and Z, the longitudinal column travel, are each offered at 1,500, 2,000 or 2,500 mm (59.1-78.7-98.4 in). W is 600 mm. The X row of the maker's table is not printed consistently for this model, so confirm the cross travel with Juaristi.
04
Yes. Juaristi presents the TX-S as a milling-boring center and lists a universal spindle with figures of 40 kW, 6,000 min-1, 60 kW and 3,000 Nm, an orthogonal head and a compact ISO 50 vertical head, together with an automatic head changer.
