Price estimate
We do not have a price for the HNK HTC-1250 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Between the two ends of the range, the HNK HTC-1250 takes a 2,200 mm (86.6 in) workpiece swing and a loading mass of 5,000 kg (11,023 lb). It is a 5-axis horizontal machining center whose head tilts while the table rotates endlessly in B.
Compared with the HTC-1000, every linear axis grows: X to 2,200 mm (86.6 in), Y to 1,900 mm (74.8 in), Z to 2,100 mm (82.7 in). Part height rises to 1,950 mm (76.8 in). The row HNK labels Dimensions, which reads as the pallet, is 1,000 x 1,250 mm (39.4 x 49.2 in).
What stays fixed is the head geometry, with A from -100˚ to +60˚. A hundred degrees of tilt below horizontal lets the tool reach under flanges and into the far side of bores. That is the reason to buy a tilting-head horizontal instead of a table-tilting one for heavy parts: the mass on the table only ever rotates about a vertical axis.
HNK names titanium, Inconel and aluminium as the materials. Spindle data is missing from the table, as it is for the whole HTC series, and no tool magazine or pallet changer is described. Siemens 840D is the listed control.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2,200 mm (86.6 in) swing with 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) loading mass
- Y travel of 1,900 mm (74.8 in) and part height to 1,950 mm (76.8 in)
- A-axis -100˚ / +60˚ on the head, so the load is never tilted
- Continuous B-axis rotation
Limitations
- No spindle speed, power or taper row
- Y and part height are no greater on the larger HTC-1600
- A 1,000 x 1,250 mm (39.4 x 49.2 in) base under a 2,200 mm swing means overhanging fixtures

Frequently Asked Questions
01
More of everything linear. The HTC-1000 has 1,700 mm (66.9 in) of X, 1,600 mm (63.0 in) of Y, 1,950 mm (76.8 in) of Z and 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) of loading mass. The HTC-1250 has 2,200 mm, 1,900 mm, 2,100 mm and 5,000 kg.
02
The A-axis tilting range is -100˚ / +60˚ and the B-axis rotating range is endless. HNK calls the head a high-rigidity driven tilting head and the machine a 5-axis simultaneous horizontal machining center.
03
The table has a row labelled Dimensions with 1,000 x 1,250 mm (39.4 x 49.2 in). HNK does not name what it measures, but it matches the model number and precedes the loading-mass row of 5,000 kg (11,023 lb).
04
HNK says the series covers materials from titanium and Inconel to aluminium, the latter with high spindle speed. Because no speed or power is printed in the table, the spindle for an aluminium job has to be confirmed in the quotation.
