Price estimate
We do not have a price for the HNK HTC-1600 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The HNK HTC-1600 is the largest HTC, a 5-axis horizontal machining center rated for 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) and a workpiece swing of 2,800 mm (110.2 in).
It grows in two directions only. X reaches 2,800 mm (110.2 in) and Z 2,450 mm (96.5 in), while Y at 1,900 mm (74.8 in) and part height at 1,950 mm (76.8 in) match the HTC-1250. In other words this is the same height of machine with a wider, deeper work zone, meant for parts of large diameter more than tall ones: fan cases, large gearbox housings, landing-gear beams laid flat.
The Dimensions row gives 1,250 x 1,600 mm (49.2 x 63.0 in). Head tilt is unchanged at -100˚ / +60˚ in A, and B rotates without limit.
Eight tonnes on a rotary table in titanium or Inconel, the alloys HNK names, means long cycle times at high cutting forces. HNK stresses the rigidity of the driven tilting head but prints no spindle figures, so torque and speed need to be asked for, along with the tool magazine and any pallet changing equipment. The control is Siemens 840D.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) loading mass, the highest of the series
- Workpiece swing and X travel of 2,800 mm (110.2 in)
- Z travel of 2,450 mm (96.5 in) for clearance around large diameters
- Tilting head with A-axis -100˚ / +60˚ and endless B
Limitations
- Y travel of 1,900 mm (74.8 in) is the same as on the HTC-1250
- Part height stays at 1,950 mm (76.8 in)
- Spindle speed, power and taper are not published

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Maximum loading mass is 8,000 kg (17,637 lb), against 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) on the HTC-1250 and 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) on the HTC-1000. That figure includes the fixture.
02
No. Both list 1,900 mm (74.8 in) of Y travel and a maximum workpiece or fixture height of 1,950 mm (76.8 in). The HTC-1600 is wider and deeper, with 2,800 mm (110.2 in) of X and 2,450 mm (96.5 in) of Z.
03
Three linear axes, X 2,800 mm (110.2 in), Y 1,900 mm (74.8 in) and Z 2,450 mm (96.5 in), plus an A-axis tilting range of -100˚ / +60˚ on the head and an endless B-axis. HNK describes it as a 5-axis simultaneous machine.

The table lists Siemens 840D. No alternative control is shown for the HTC series, and the page gives no information on the spindle, tool magazine or pallet changer.
