HNK HTC-1000 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK HTC-1000 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The HNK HTC-1000 is a 5-axis horizontal machining center with a tilting head, built for aerospace parts. It swings a workpiece of 1,700 mm (66.9 in) diameter through the head's tilting range and accepts a part or fixture up to 1,650 mm (65.0 in) tall.

Linear travels are 1,700 mm (66.9 in) in X, 1,600 mm (63.0 in) in Y and 1,950 mm (76.8 in) in Z. Z is the longest of the three, which is unusual and useful: the column can back well away from a large ring or casing so the head can tilt without fouling it. The A-axis tilts from -100˚ to +60˚ and the B-axis table rotates without limit.

A row labelled only Dimensions reads 800 x 1,000 mm (31.5 x 39.4 in). The maker does not say of what, though the figure tracks the model number and sits beside the load row, so it reads as the pallet. Maximum loading mass is 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).

HNK says the machine is specialized for materials from titanium and Inconel to aluminium. No spindle speed, power or taper appears in the table, so the spindle has to be specified with the maker. Control is Siemens 840D.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Tilting head with an A-axis range of -100˚ / +60˚
  • Endless B-axis rotation of the table
  • Z travel of 1,950 mm (76.8 in), longer than X or Y
  • Workpiece swing of 1,700 mm (66.9 in) inside the tilting range

Limitations

  • Loading mass limited to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb), the lowest of the HTC sizes
  • No spindle speed, power or taper in the published table
  • The 800 x 1,000 mm row is labelled only Dimensions

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What are the travels of the HTC-1000?

X (longitudinal) is 1,700 mm (66.9 in), Y (vertical) is 1,600 mm (63.0 in) and Z (traverse) is 1,950 mm (76.8 in). The A-axis tilts -100˚ / +60˚ and the B-axis range is given as endless.

02 How heavy a part can the HTC-1000 carry?

The maximum loading mass is 3,000 kg (6,614 lb). The HTC-1250 is rated at 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) and the HTC-1600 at 8,000 kg (17,637 lb), so a heavy fixture may decide the size before the part does.

03 What materials is the HTC-1000 meant for?

HNK describes a 5-axis simultaneous horizontal machining center with a high-rigidity driven tilting head, specialized for aerospace parts in materials from titanium and Inconel to aluminium, the last with high spindle speed. The speed itself is not in the table.

04 Which control does the HTC-1000 use?

Siemens 840D is the only control listed for the HTC series. Unlike many HNK machines, the table shows no second control in braces for these models.
