Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK HPM-30H (30x80) that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training

Overview

Eight metres of table at three metres wide: the HNK HPM-30H (30x80) measures 3,000 x 8,000 mm (118.1 x 315.0 in) and travels 8,250 mm (324.8 in) in X. Its spindle still turns at 6,000 rpm, with 8,000 rpm in braces.

This is the shortest route in HNK's range to an eight-metre die and mold machine. The same table format appears in the heavy HPM-30L (30x80), but that machine has a 2,000 rpm spindle and a 50,000 kg (110,229 lb) table. Here the table is rated at 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) and the spindle is three times as fast. The two machines answer different questions: one removes metal from heavy castings and weldments, the other finishes sculptured surfaces.

Geometry follows the HPM-30H (30x60). Columns are 4,000 mm (157.5 in) apart, Y is 5,000 mm (196.9 in), the crossrail rises 1,500 mm (59.1 in) and the 400 x 400 mm (15.7 x 15.7 in) ram strokes 800 mm (31.5 in).

Typical work would be a complete body-side die, or a pair of dies loaded together and cut alternately. Motor power is 22/25 kW (29.5/33.5 hp), cont/30min.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How does the HPM-30H (30x80) differ from the HPM-30L (30x80)?

Both have a 3,000 x 8,000 mm table and 8,250 mm of X. The HPM-30L (30x80) lists 2,000 rpm, a Ø130 mm (5.1 in) spindle, a 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) ram and 50,000 kg (110,229 lb) of load. The HPM-30H lists 6,000 rpm, Ø100 mm, 400 x 400 mm and 25,000 kg.

02 What is the Y travel of the HPM-30H (30x80)?

5,000 mm (196.9 in), across columns set 4,000 mm (157.5 in) apart. The table is 3,000 mm (118.1 in) wide, so the head can travel well beyond both table edges.

03 Can two dies be machined at once on the HPM-30H (30x80)?

The 8,000 mm (315.0 in) table length allows two set-ups in a row, and the table travels 8,250 mm (324.8 in). The combined weight has to stay within 25,000 kg (55,115 lb), which is the limit for the whole table.

04 What taper and ram does the HPM-30H (30x80) have?

ISO No.50 taper on a Ø100 mm (3.9 in) spindle, in a ram of 400 x 400 mm (15.7 x 15.7 in). Ram travel is 800 mm (31.5 in), supplemented by 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of crossrail movement.
