Overview
The HNK HPF-40H (40x80) is the widest fixed-crossrail machine in the HPF-H series: 5,000 mm (196.9 in) between columns, a 4,000 x 8,000 mm (157.5 x 315.0 in) table, and 6,000 mm (236.2 in) of Y travel.
A five-metre gap bridged by a rail that never moves is a demanding piece of structure. The benefit is that nothing in the vertical chain is clamped or unclamped during use. Height is set by the ram alone, 800 mm (31.5 in) of it, beneath a maximum daylight of 1,000 mm (39.4 in). The proportions are extreme: a work zone six metres across and one metre high.
That is the shape of the largest flat tooling, and of little else. Chamber bases for display equipment, platens for large presses, and the plates of big injection molds all fit. The table carries 35,000 kg (77,160 lb).
