Overview
Two spindles side by side over a 20,000 mm (787.4 in) X stroke: the HNK GST-2S is a gantry profiler that HNK builds for aerospace parts such as panel stringers.
A stringer is long, thin and made in mirrored pairs, and the machine's proportions follow from that. Cross travel is only 1,200 mm (47.2 in) and vertical travel 600 mm (23.6 in). The columns move along the bed, so the part lies still on a fixed table for the full twenty metres. Each spindle has an HSK-A63 nose and runs up to 30,000 rpm.
