HNK 5S-GPM — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK 5S-GPM that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The HNK 5S-GPM puts five spindles on one gantry. HNK designs it for high-speed machining of aircraft frame parts, and the idea is plain: cut five identical parts in the time of one.

X travel is given as a range, 24,000 ~ 36,000 mm (944.9 ~ 1,417.3 in), so the bed length is set per order. Y is listed as 1,524 mm (60.0 in), with 762 mm (30.0 in) following in round brackets, and Z is 500 mm (19.7 in). Those are plate-machining proportions. Billets lie in rows along a very long bed and the gantry walks over them.

Each spindle has an ISO50 taper, which is unusual on a multi-spindle profiler and suggests larger cutters and heavier roughing than an HSK machine would take. Speed is 10,000 rpm, with 12,000 rpm in braces. HNK's text speaks of five 12,000rpm spindles. Spindle power is 75 kW (100.6 hp).

No rotary axis appears in the table. The control row reads Siemens 840D, with Fanuc 31i-B in braces.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Five spindles cutting in parallel
  • X travel from 24,000 to 36,000 mm (944.9 to 1,417.3 in)
  • ISO50 spindles rated 75 kW (100.6 hp)
  • 10,000 rpm, with 12,000 rpm in braces

Limitations

  • Z travel of 500 mm (19.7 in) restricts the machine to plate and flat parts
  • No tilting or rotary axis in the published table
  • Five spindles on one gantry pay off only on repeated parts

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How long is the 5S-GPM?

The X-axis travel is listed as 24,000 ~ 36,000 mm (944.9 ~ 1,417.3 in). It is a range, not a single figure, so the gantry runway is built to the length the buyer needs within those limits.

02 What spindles are on the 5S-GPM?

Five, each with an ISO50 taper and 75 kW (100.6 hp). The speed row gives 10,000 rpm with 12,000 rpm in braces, and HNK's description refers to five 12,000rpm spindles giving productivity and surface finish.

03 Can the 5S-GPM do 5-axis work?

The published table lists only X, Y and Z travel: 24,000 ~ 36,000 mm, 1,524 mm (60.0 in) and 500 mm (19.7 in). The 5S in the name matches the five spindles. For tilting heads, HNK lists the GST-2S and the GPM-60FX.
