Overview

At 142 in (3,613 mm) of X travel, the Haas GM-1XT-5AX is the stretched version of the GM-1-5AX, which stops at 121 in (3,073 mm). Y and Z are unchanged at 61 in (1,549 mm) and 24 in (610 mm), and so is everything that cuts. What the buyer gets is a longer bed, 144.3 × 53 in (3,664 × 1,346 mm), for parts or nests that would not fit the shorter machine.

Length is the only place the envelope grows. The work surface is 53 in (1,346 mm) wide with 62 in (1,575 mm) between the columns, and the spindle nose sits between 5 in (127 mm) and 29 in (737 mm) above it.
