How much does the Hartford HSA-323EA cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford HSA-323EA that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hartford HSA-323EA is where the three-metre five-face HSA gets a wider table. It measures 3,000 x 2,200 mm (118.1 x 86.6 in), Y travel grows to 2,300 mm (90.6 in), and the T-slots step up to the 28 size where the HSA-320EA has 22. X travel stays at 3,000 mm (118.1 in).
Load does not follow the width. The rating is 10,000 kg (22,046 lb), identical to the narrower HSA-320EA, so the extra area is for larger or multiple fixtures and not for heavier castings. Plates, mould frames and fabricated covers that are light for their size fit that description.
As on every EA model, the fifth face is a matter of heads. Hartford lists a complete angular head package and an automatic universal angular head, exchanged through an automated switching head compartment that works together with vertical and horizontal tool change. If the side faces of a part nearly as wide as the table must be cut, look at the Y travel first: the HSA-327EA offers 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y over this same table.
Z travel is 1,000 mm, optionally 1,200 mm. The #50 spindle comes as a gear head at 6,000 rpm, with 8,000 rpm optional, or as a 10,000 rpm hybrid.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,000 x 2,200 mm (118.1 x 86.6 in) table with 28-size T-slots
- 2,300 mm (90.6 in) of Y travel on a three-metre machine
- Complete angular head package with an automated switching head compartment
- Choice of 6,000 rpm gear head, optional 8,000 rpm, or 10,000 rpm hybrid spindle
Limitations
- Table load of 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) is no higher than on the narrower HSA-320EA
- Y travel clears the table width by a small margin only; the HSA-327EA has 2,700 mm (106.3 in)
- Y-axis ballscrew support is listed as an option for the x23 models

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Width. The HSA-323EA has a 3,000 x 2,200 mm (118.1 x 86.6 in) table and 2,300 mm (90.6 in) of Y travel, where the HSA-320EA has a 3,000 x 1,800 mm (118.1 x 70.9 in) table and 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y. Both carry 10,000 kg.
02
10,000 kg (22,046 lb). Spread over a 3,000 x 2,200 mm table that is a moderate loading, so check the weight of dense steel blocks before assuming that a part which fits the table can also be carried.
03
Not by Hartford's statements. X axis ballscrew support is standard on models above 5 meters and optional below 4 meters, and Y axis support is standard on the HSA-x36 series and an option for the HSA-x23, x27 and x28 series.
04
1,000 mm as standard, with 1,200 mm in brackets as the optional figure. The Z axis runs on four linear guideways and has a nitrogen counterweight according to Hartford's description of the series.
