How much does the Fidia Go5 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fidia Go5 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fidia Go5 is a compact 5-axis high-speed milling centre with a fixed gantry and a moving, tilting rotary table. Axis strokes are 600 mm (23.6 in) in X, 850 mm (33.5 in) in Y and 450 mm (18 in) in Z. The table plate is Ø400 (15.7 in) and carries up to 300 kg (660 lb). Y is the long axis here, so the envelope is deeper than it is wide.
The structure is the main argument. Fidia builds it entirely from cast iron on a 45° inclined base, which carries the tilting rotary table and lets chips fall toward the front auger and rear conveyor that come as standard. At approximately 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) the monoblock is levelled on anti-vibration mounts and, by the maker's account, needs no special foundation. That matters to a shop that cannot cut a pit or may move the machine later.
Two spindles are offered, and they pull the machine in different directions. The M3A/20-18 on HSK-A63 is the roughing choice, rated 11.7/20 kW and 26/80 Nm (S1/S6). The M3A/19-36 on HSK-E50 trades torque for small-tool finishing, with 17/19.5 kW and 11/12.5 Nm (S1/S6). HSK-E50 holders are a different family from HSK-A63, so the spindle decision also fixes the tool inventory.
The B axis tilts the table ±180° and C turns 360° (continuous), with the linear axes at 30 m/min. The 300 kg (660 lb) limit and the 15.7 in plate define the part size more tightly than the strokes do: electrodes, inserts and small moulds rather than die blocks. For larger 5-axis work, the Go9 has a Ø 800 mm (31.5 in) table.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Cast iron monoblock of approximately 8,000 kg (17,637 lb) that the maker says needs no special foundation
- Table tilts ±180° on B and rotates 360° (continuous) on C, so five sides are reachable in one clamping
- Choice of two spindles: M3A/20-18 on HSK-A63 with 26/80 Nm (S1/S6), or M3A/19-36 on HSK-E50 for finishing
- 850 mm (33.5 in) of Y stroke on a machine with only 600 mm (23.6 in) of X
- Front auger and rear chip conveyor are standard, and the 45° inclined base lets chips fall clear of the table
Limitations
- Table plate is Ø400 (15.7 in) with a 300 kg (660 lb) load limit, which rules out larger mould blocks
- Z stroke of 450 mm (18 in) has to cover part height, fixture and tool length on a tilting table
- The M3A/19-36 spindle delivers only 11/12.5 Nm (S1/S6): a finishing spindle, not an all-rounder
- Axis speed is 30 m/min, lower than the 48 m/min listed for the Go9

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The Go5 has 600 mm (23.6 in) of X, 850 mm (33.5 in) of Y and 450 mm (18 in) of Z, with an axis speed of 30 m/min. The table adds a B tilt of ±180° and a C rotation of 360° (continuous).
02
The table plate is Ø400 (15.7 in) and the maximum load is 300 kg (660 lb). The load limit and the 450 mm (18 in) Z stroke set the practical size, so check the tallest part with its fixture and longest tool before committing.
03
Fidia lists two. The M3A/20-18 uses HSK-A63 and is rated 11.7/20 kW and 26/80 Nm (S1/S6). The M3A/19-36 uses HSK-E50 with 17/19.5 kW and 11/12.5 Nm (S1/S6). Both have closed-circuit cooling and air/oil bearing lubrication.
04
No, according to Fidia. The cast iron monoblock weighs approximately 8,000 kg (17,637 lb), is levelled on anti-vibration mounts and is described as suitable for normal good-quality industrial floors. The self-supporting structure can also be lifted and relocated.
