How much does the Hartford Aero-846G cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford Aero-846G that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Eight metres by 4,100 mm of table, with 4,600 mm (181.1 in) of Y travel: the Hartford Aero-846G is the widest eight-metre gantry type 5-faced machining center in the Aero series. X travel is 8,000 mm (315.0 in) and the table measures 8,000 x 4,100 mm (315.0 x 161.4 in).
Hartford has another large machine with an eight-metre fixed table, and the two should be compared. The MCW-8550 has a table of 8,000 x 4,000 mm (315.0 x 157.5 in), 5,500 mm (216.5 in) of Y travel and a cross-beam that moves vertically, with a table rating of 3,000 kg/m². The Aero-846G has less Y travel and no moving beam but is rated at 5,000 kg/m².
So the Aero is the choice for dense parts of moderate height, and the MCW for taller or wider ones. With Z travel of 1,000 mm, or 1,200 mm as an option, the Aero-846G fits plate-like and block-like work: die sets, mould halves, bedplates, large flanges.
The spindle is a #50 gear head at 6,000 rpm, with 8,000 rpm optional. Hartford's 10,000 rpm i-Tech hybrid spindle is also optional and has a built-in motor of up to 35 kW and 600 N-m. Magazines hold from 30 to 60 tools.
