Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford Aero-841G that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hartford Aero-841G sits in the middle of the eight-metre Aero models. It is a gantry type 5-faced machining center with a table of 8,000 x 3,600 mm (315.0 x 141.7 in), 8,000 mm (315.0 in) of X travel and 4,100 mm (161.4 in) of Y travel.
On an eight-metre part the head changer earns its place. A typical cycle mills the top with the vertical spindle, takes a 90 degree head for the long sides, swaps to a universal head for inclined pads and perhaps to an extension head for a deep pocket. Hartford's changer does this without the operator: heads sit in an independent magazine under a protective cover, a hydraulic cylinder makes the changeover fast, and additional head magazines are available if three positions are not enough.
Each head magazine has its own moving door that opens only during a changeover, to keep debris off the heads' mounting faces.
Table load is 5,000 kg/m². Z travel is 1,000 mm with 1,200 mm optional. The spindle is #50, as a gear head at 6,000 rpm or 8,000 rpm, or optionally as the 10,000 rpm i-Tech hybrid. For narrower work the Aero-836G has an 8,000 x 3,100 mm (315.0 x 122.0 in) table.
