Han's Laser HBS3232 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Han's Laser HBS3232 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Han's Laser or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Han's Laser HBS3232 is the shorter of the two 3,200 kN press brakes that top the HBS series table, and it is the one model with a bending width of its own: 3,200 mm (126.0 in), where the HBS2631 and the other three-metre machines are listed at 3,100 mm (122.0 in).

At this force the machine is built differently from the rest of the range. The motor is 22 kW (29.5 hp). Closed height reaches 605 mm (23.8 in), the tallest in the table, for the large dies that thick plate requires. And the machine itself stands 3,286 mm high, within overall dimensions of 3,768 × 2,000 × 3,286 mm (148.3 × 78.7 × 129.4 in). Check that height against the roof and the crane hook before anything else.

Speeds are the lowest in the series, as expected. The ram comes down at 100 mm/s, bends at 9 mm/s and returns at 130 mm/s. Heavy plate is bent slowly in any case, for the sake of the operator holding it, so the working speed is less of a handicap than it looks on paper.

One dimension has not grown with the force. The uprights are still 2,700 mm (106.3 in) apart and the throat is still 410 mm (16.1 in) deep, exactly as on the 1,100 kN HBS1131. Deep flanges on wide plate have to be planned around that.

The oil tank holds 200 L. Han's Laser lists a reinforced frame and ram, mechanical compensation adjustable in both directions, and an IFT CNC system.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 3,200 kN, the highest press force in the HBS table
  • Closed height of 605 mm (23.8 in) for large tooling
  • Bending width of 3,200 mm (126.0 in)
  • 22 kW (29.5 hp) motor, the largest in the series

Limitations

  • Working speed of 9 mm/s and fast down speed of 100 mm/s are the slowest in the series
  • Overall height of 3,286 mm may not fit low buildings
  • Throat depth remains 410 mm (16.1 in) and the uprights 2,700 mm (106.3 in) apart

Best For

Thick plate bending at around three metres Heavy machinery and steel structure components Work that exceeds the 2,600 kN of the HBS2631

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How powerful is the Han's Laser HBS3232?

Press force is 3,200 kN over a maximum bending width of 3,200 mm (126.0 in). The motor is rated at 22 kW (29.5 hp) and the oil tank capacity is 200 L.

02 How fast is the ram?

Fast down speed is 100 mm/s, working speed 9 mm/s and return speed 130 mm/s. The HBS2631, one step down in force, is listed at 120 mm/s, 11 mm/s and 130 mm/s.

03 How tall is the machine and its opening?

The closed height is 605 mm (23.8 in). The machine's overall dimensions are 3,768 × 2,000 × 3,286 mm (148.3 × 78.7 × 129.4 in), so it needs well over three metres of clear height before lifting gear is counted.

04 Is there a longer 3,200 kN model?

Yes. The HBS3241 has the same 3,200 kN with a 4,100 mm (161.4 in) bending width, 3,700 mm (145.7 in) between uprights and a return speed of 120 mm/s.
