Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Goodway GTS-150 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Goodway GTS-150 is a twin-spindle, twin-turret turning center for small parts: two opposed 6 in spindles with Ø42 mm (1.7 in) bar capacity running to 6,000 rpm, each served by its own 12-station turret. A part is turned on spindle 1, handed across to spindle 2 and finished on the back while the next part starts.
Both spindles are built to the same specification, 5.5 kW (7.4 hp) continuous and 7.5 kW (10.1 hp) for 30 min. Because front and rear operations get equal power, the process can be split evenly between the two sides, which is what keeps both turrets busy.
The envelope is small. Swing is Ø180 mm (7.1 in), turning length 180 mm (7.1 in) and X travel 160 mm (6.3 in). The first turret has 210 mm (8.3 in) of Z1 travel. The second, which follows the moving spindle, has 600 mm (23.6 in) of Z2 travel. Goodway builds the GTS-150 on a one-piece 45° slant bed and, unlike the larger GTS-200, gives its X and Z axes linear guide rails.
Four variations set how much milling the machine can do. X has two plain turrets. MX makes one of them a live tooling turret, and MMX makes both live, at 4,000 rpm. XY adds a Y-axis to each turret with 60 mm (2.4 in) of travel, ±30 mm. The C-axis is a Cf type with a disc brake, driven by a servo motor that Goodway rates at 240 Nm continuous.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two identical 6,000 rpm spindles, each 5.5 kW (7.4 hp) continuous, for balanced front and back machining
- Two 12-station turrets working at the same time
- Y-axis available on both turrets in the XY variation
- One-piece 45° slant bed with linear guide rails on X and Z
Limitations
- Swing is Ø180 mm (7.1 in) and turning length 180 mm (7.1 in)
- Bar capacity is Ø42 mm (1.7 in)
- Y travel is 60 mm (2.4 in), half that of the GTS-200
- Live tooling and Y-axes are options that depend on the variation ordered

Frequently Asked Questions
01
They face each other. Goodway states that spindle 1 and spindle 2 are designed with the same specifications, so front and rear machining are completed on the one machine, and that spindle 2 catches parts automatically. Each spindle has its own 12-station turret.
02
Each spindle has a 6 in chuck, Ø42 mm (1.7 in) bar capacity and a 6,000 rpm maximum speed. The motors are rated 5.5 kW (7.4 hp) continuous and 7.5 kW (10.1 hp) on the 30 min. rating.
03
They describe the two turrets. X: two plain turrets. MX: one plain turret and one live tooling turret. MMX: two live tooling turrets. XY: two live tooling turrets, each with a Y-axis. Live tooling speed is 4,000 rpm.
04
The GTS-200 is the next size: 8 in chucks, Ø51 mm (2.0 in) bar capacity, 4,800 rpm and 11 kW (14.8 hp) continuous per spindle, with a Ø280 mm (11.0 in) swing. Goodway also states that the GTS-200 series uses box ways, where the GTS-150 uses linear guide rails.
