Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Goodway GTH-1500 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Goodway GTH-1500 is a parallel twin-spindle chucker with a gantry loader as standard equipment. Two spindles sit side by side, each with its own 12-station turret, and the gantry robotic arm loads, flips and unloads the parts. It is made for disc-shaped parts in volume, with a maximum turning diameter of Ø240 mm (9.4 in) and only 80 mm (3.1 in) of turning length.
That 80 mm figure defines the machine. This is not a lathe for shafts or bar; no tailstock or bar capacity appears in the table. It takes forged or cast blanks in 6 in or 8 in chucks, turns one face on the first spindle and the other face on the second.
Spindle nose is A2-5. The standard motor is 5.5 kW (7.4 hp) continuous and 7.5 kW (10.1 hp) for 30 min., running 45 ~ 6,000 rpm. Goodway lists two stronger options, 7.5 kW or 11 kW (14.8 hp) continuous, and an alternative speed range of 60 ~ 4,800 rpm. Which combination is right depends on chuck size and material, so it should be specified with the part drawing in hand.
Goodway states that each set of jaws on the gantry can hold up to 8 kg, and that disc-type or shaft-type feeding stations are offered. A non-contact inspection system is optional. Single-spindle and twin-spindle machines, a flipping device and the gantry can be linked into a line. The M variation adds a 12-station live tooling turret at 6,000 rpm and a C-axis.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Yes. Goodway lists the gantry robotic arm as standard and describes the gantry loading/unloading system as standard equipment for the series. Each set of jaws can hold up to 8 kg of workpiece, subject to actual requirements.
02
Maximum turning diameter is Ø240 mm (9.4 in) and maximum turning length 80 mm (3.1 in). Chucks are 6 in or 8 in. The larger GTH-2000 turns Ø300 mm (11.8 in) and 205 mm (8.1 in) long with a 10 in chuck.
03
The standard motor is 5.5 kW (7.4 hp) continuous and 7.5 kW (10.1 hp) on the 30 min. rating. Options are 7.5 kW or 11 kW (14.8 hp) continuous, with 30 min. ratings of 11 kW and 15 kW (20.1 hp). The speed range is 45 ~ 6,000 rpm, or 60 ~ 4,800 rpm as an option.
04
With the M variation, which has a C-axis and a 12-station live tooling turret running at 6,000 rpm. Goodway states that only the tool at the working position rotates. The C-axis is a Cf type driven by a servo motor.
