How much does the Excetek ED800C CE cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Excetek ED800C CE that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The ED800C CE is Excetek's CE-designated die sinking EDM in the 800 class, and on paper it is the heavier-duty table of the two 800 models. It keeps the ED800C travels of 800 mm (31.5 in) in X, 600 mm (23.6 in) in Y and 500 mm (19.7 in) in Z, then raises workpiece weight to 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) on a work table of 1,250 x 750 mm (49.2 x 29.5 in).
What it gives back is at the head. Maximum electrode weight is 300 kg (661 lb), where the ED800C is listed at 350 kg (772 lb). For most cavity work that gap will never be reached; for the largest graphite forms it is the row to check first.
Maximum workpiece size is printed as 1,700 x 1,000 mm (66.9 x 39.4 in), a plan dimension with no height. The machine weighs 5,300 kg (11,684 lb) and, with body, travel, tank and generator, fills 3,150 x 3,150 x 3,100 mm (124.0 x 124.0 x 122.0 in), a square footprint slightly lower than the standard machine's 3,200 mm.
Filtration is arranged differently as well. The oil filter tank holds 1,430 L and is fitted with six paper filters, two more than on the ED800C, at the same 450 kg (992 lb) tank weight. More filter area for a similar oil volume should lengthen the interval between element changes during heavy roughing with graphite. The rest of the description is shared with the ED series: MOSFET sparking circuit, a generator split into front and back modules for service access, roller type linear guide ways and a work table hardened to HRC50. Oil cooling, a permanent magnetic pedestal and the tungsten carbide circuit are options.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) workpiece weight, above the 4,000 kg (8,818 lb) of the ED800C
- 1,250 x 750 mm (49.2 x 29.5 in) work table, larger than the ED800C table in both directions
- Six paper filters on a 1,430 L oil filter tank
- Square 3,150 x 3,150 mm (124.0 x 124.0 in) installation including tank and generator
- Full 500 mm (19.7 in) Z travel with 800 mm (31.5 in) of X and 600 mm (23.6 in) of Y
Limitations
- Electrode weight is 300 kg (661 lb), below the 350 kg (772 lb) of the ED800C
- Workpiece size is given as 1,700 x 1,000 mm (66.9 x 39.4 in) with no height
- 5,300 kg (11,684 lb) machine weight before the 450 kg (992 lb) tank and the oil
- Tank dimensions are not printed for this model

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The ED800C CE has a larger table, 1,250 x 750 mm (49.2 x 29.5 in), a higher workpiece weight of 5,000 kg (11,023 lb), six paper filters and a 1,430 L tank. The ED800C has the higher electrode weight, 350 kg (772 lb) against 300 kg (661 lb), and a 1,500 L tank. Axis travels are identical.
02
Machine weight is 5,300 kg (11,684 lb). The oil filter tank adds 450 kg (992 lb) empty and holds 1,430 L. Outside dimensions with body, travel, tank and generator are 3,150 x 3,150 x 3,100 mm (124.0 x 124.0 x 122.0 in).
03
800 mm (31.5 in) in X, 600 mm (23.6 in) in Y and 500 mm (19.7 in) in Z. Those are the same strokes as the ED800C; the larger CE table gives more room around the stroke for clamping, not more reach.

The product page does not list one among its three options. The ED Series catalogue, which the page links, shows an ATC system as optional, in 4 & 6 ATC and 16 & 20 Robomatic ATC versions. Confirm availability for the CE model with Excetek.
