How much does the BLM Group LTX cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the BLM Group LTX that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
With a 2-3 kW fiber source and a 2D Tube Cutter head, the BLM Group LTX covers tube from 0.5" to 6" in diameter at up to 10 lb/ft. Its stated scope goes past round, square and rectangular tube to open profiles and special sections.
Open profiles are harder to hold than closed tube, and this is where the support arrangement matters. Manually adjusted templates act as an extra restraining element on small and lightweight tubes, and the operator panel suggests the adjustment for each profile. It is still a manual step. Shops that change section many times a shift should weigh that against the LT7, where BLM describes the loader, spindle, steady rest and intermediate supports adapting on their own.
Bundles of up to 8,818 lb (4,000 kg) are loaded fully automatically, and a single bar loader handles small urgent batches without disturbing the bundle. Bars shorter than 8.2 ft (2.5 m) fall below the minimum loadable length. The standard machine is built with loading of 21 ft (6.5 m) and unloading of 11.8 ft (3.6 m). Does your longest finished part exceed that? Then the unloading length needs to be chosen from the 11.8 - 14.8 - 21 ft (3.6 - 4.5 - 6.5 m) options before ordering.
What happens after the cut is well organised. Three programmable positions, a rear conveyor belt and motorized collection tables at the front and rear separate parts from different batches. Short parts drop onto a dedicated belt. Scrap goes to an external container that can be emptied while the machine keeps running.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Cuts open profiles and special sections as well as round, square and rectangular tube
- Tube range from 0.5" to 6" in diameter, with bar weight up to 10 lb/ft
- Bundle loader for long runs plus a single bar loader for small, urgent batches
- Short parts are deposited on a dedicated belt and scrap leaves to an external container without stopping the system
- Automatic loading, cutting, end trimming and finished part separation in one machine
Limitations
- 2D cutting head: no tilted cuts, so chamfers for welding call for the LT6 or a larger 3D machine
- The support templates for small and lightweight tubes are adjusted by hand
- Bars under 8.2 ft (2.5 m) are below the minimum loadable length
- Bar weight is limited to 10 lb/ft, against 15.5 lb/ft on the LT7

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The cutting head, mainly. The LTX has a 2D Tube Cutter and the LT6 a 3D head that can tilt for inclined cuts and weld chamfers. The LT6 also takes heavier bar, 12 lb/ft against 10 lb/ft here. Both load bundles of up to 4,000 kg.
02
Round, square and rectangular tubes, open profiles and special sections, with a tube range from 0.5" to 6" in diameter and a bar weight up to 10 lb/ft. Listed materials are mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and brass.
03
Unloading is programmable at the front or rear of the machine, so parts from different batches are separated automatically. Short parts are deposited on a dedicated belt. Scrap is separated and dropped into an external container, which can be emptied without stopping the system.
04
The minimum loadable length is 8.2 ft (2.5 m). The standard machine has loading of 21 ft (6.5 m) and unloading of 11.8 ft (3.6 m). The table lists unloading lengths of 11.8 - 14.8 - 21 ft (3.6 - 4.5 - 6.5 m), so longer finished parts can be accommodated by specifying a longer unloader.
