Dener TDC 3116 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Dener TDC 3116 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Dener or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

With the Dener TDC 3116, Dener's double column machining center moves into heavy-part territory. X travel is 3,100 mm (122 in), Y 1,600 mm and Z 1,020 mm, and the table carries 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).

The Z axis changes the character of the machine. At 1,020 mm it is far taller than on the TDC 2112, so boxes, gearbox housings and tall welded frames come into range, not only plates. The columns are 1,700 mm apart and the table is 3,000 x 1,500 mm.

Moving that mass takes larger drives and lower speeds. Axis motors are listed as 9/7/7 kW, and rapid traverse is 12/12/12 m/min. Cutting feed runs from 1~10 m/min.

The spindle is common to the TDC range: BBT 50, 10,000 rpm, 22/26 kW, direct drive. Positioning accuracy is ±0.008 mm per 300 mm of stroke. A 40-tool magazine is listed for this size. On long cycles with roughing, finishing and drilling tools in one setup, that capacity avoids manual tool changes mid-program.

The cabin is semi-enclosed, which is usual for machines loaded by overhead crane.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) table load
  • 1,020 mm of Z travel for tall parts
  • 40-tool magazine for long, mixed cycles
  • BBT 50 spindle with a 22/26 kW motor
  • 3,000 x 1,500 mm table between columns 1,700 mm apart

Limitations

  • Rapid traverse of 12 m/min on all axes
  • Semi-enclosed cabin, so chip and coolant containment is partial
  • The table states no spindle torque

Best For

Heavy housings, frames and machine bases Large moulds and dies up to 10,000 kg Long setups needing many tools

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How big a part fits the Dener TDC 3116?

Travels are 3,100 x 1,600 x 1,020 mm, the table is 3,000 x 1,500 mm and there are 1,700 mm between the columns. The table load limit is 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).

02 How fast does it traverse?

12/12/12 m/min in X, Y and Z, with a cutting feed rate of 1~10 m/min. The smaller TDC 2112 traverses at 24 m/min in X and Y.

03 How many tools does the TDC 3116 hold?

The specification table lists a tool capacity of 40. Dener describes the changer as a BBT 50 arm-type ATC with a capacity of 24 or 40 tools.

04 Which control does it use?

A Mitsubishi M80A-8A with conversational programming (Navi-Mill) is standard. A FANUC control unit is on the options list, as are tool and workpiece measuring probes.
